Shape the Digital Future of Physiotherapy: Build, Lead, Innovate, and Inspire as Injurymap’s Chief Technology Officer

Company Overview:

Injurymap is a Danish health tech company with high growth ambitions. Our mission is to disrupt the market for pain and injury treatment to improve patient outcomes and efficiency across the entire value chain. Today, we sell digital, virtual, and physical treatment via health insurer partners. 

We are at the forefront of digital physiotherapy, committed to redefining the landscape of injury recovery through advanced technological solutions. Currently, we are a small and passionate team consisting of programmers, business developers, and physiotherapists, in total approx. 20 people. 

Web development is at the core of what we do. Our product consists of a mobile app, a number of both external and internal web apps, and a Python’s Flask backend. The front end is predominantly written in Angular utilizing TypeScript language. The main database is PostgreSQL while Redis is used mostly for caching purposes. We use Ionic’s Capacitor for building native mobile applications using web technologies. 


Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced CTO to spearhead our technological endeavors and to ensure that our offerings remain unparalleled in the industry.

The Chief Technology Officer will be instrumental in shaping the technological trajectory of Injurymap. The role demands hands-on involvement in the development, ensuring our products and services meet the highest standards of excellence. 

You will lead a small team of 3-4 frontend and backend developers, while also being hands-on in building the software. We expect you to want to motivate the team and review their work to help them improve and ensure high code quality.

You will be an active member of management alongside our CPO, CCO, and CEO, with special responsibility to ensure that project management and general prioritizations take into consideration tech team priorities and resources.


Key Responsibilities:

Participate in Management: Participate in the daily management of Injurymap.

Development Leadership: Oversee the technological development lifecycle, guaranteeing the delivery of scalable and impactful solutions.

Participate in Development: Participate in the development of Injurymap products. Leading developer team by example. Ensuring high-quality technical outputs.

Tech Team Dynamics: Build, Lead, Inspire, mentor, and care for the developer team, fostering an environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, and excellence in software development. You will be in charge of hiring, firing, and building a remote engineering team across borders.

Architecture Decisions: Preside over architectural deliberations, ensuring the technological foundation remains robust and poised for future adaptability.

Product Enhancements: Influence product development initiatives, ensuring that our tools and platforms consistently offer superior functionality and user experience.


Your daily work:

  • Planning and prioritizing tasks for the development team

  • Active involvement in management

  • Coming up with feature solutions and formalizing ideas into software features

  • Reviewing and finalizing PRs 

  • Deploying frontend and backend changes

  • Building and improving software features and algorithms

  • Making sure our data is sufficiently secure 

  • Helping with and maintaining DevOps

  • Software testing

  • One-on-ones with team members  

  • Technical planning and discussion with business partners

  • Building on and improving the development processes


Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • ~ 8 years of experience in the technology sector, with a demonstrated history in software development.

  • An interest in and motivation to ensure management decisions are technically well-founded.

  • An ability to align business objectives with technological strategies and deliverables.

  • Exceptional communication skills, proficient in bridging gaps between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with current technological trends.
