Salary Competitive

Hi there!

We're looking for a Data Scientist to join us on our mission to decarbonize aviation 🛫

We utilize data from the aircraft's black box to make flights more efficient and sustainable. We currently have two distinct products: a mobile app that empowers pilots, enabling them to optimize their flights for environmental impact, and a web-based data visualization tool that assists airlines' operational departments in overseeing fleet performance to achieve efficiency and sustainability outcomes.

THE ROLE

That's where you come in

  • Find opportunities within the data: We receive data directly from the aircraft, With more than 10,000 recorded parameters of high-quality data we are constantly looking for opportunities within.

  • Discover more efficient flying behavior: Create and implement predictive models, machine learning algorithms and statistical analyses.

  • Build what matters: Spend your working hours designing and developing solutions that make the experience frictionless for pilots and airlines to become more efficient.

  • Create an amazing dev experience: Optimise the developer experience for yourself and your team members, allowing us to move the needle efficiently.

  • Establish a technical culture: Establish/promote an honest learning culture, built on trust and a growth mindset.

  • Help others shine: Constructively shape the best technical approaches, improve solutions and own code reviews that help peers and the organization consistently grow better every day.

Compensation

  • Salary: Competitive.

  • Office: We live in Copenhagen, in Islands Brygge, alongside our Tattoodo friends. Our primary work setting is on-site, but we offer flexibility for remote or work-from-home.

  • Lunch: We have a great canteen and office snacks.

Working at
FuelVision

FuelVision is a tech start-up engaged in revolutionizing the aviation industry and its environmental footprint. In 2019 the total global fuel usage from Aviation summed to more than 360 billion litres and according to the European Commission, this figure is set to increase by more than 300% in 2050. New technologies do evolve, but development and certification only progress slowly, and current solutions are at least 10 years ahead of us. Here at FuelVision, we want to protect our craft acting now! We can help airlines to decarbonise by reducing fuel & emissions by up to 14%. Our mobile app shapes pilots’ behaviour, assisting them to become more efficient and making their job more fun. And it is built by pilots for pilots! We are 5 on the team & we are hiring. With our core team during the POC, we proved 300 tonnes of CO2 reduction with 2 aircraft per month. Now… imagine what we can do with a bigger team and hundreds of aircraft…! OUR CULTURE What we care about We are Curious - Eager to learn from everything. We are Hard workers - We don’t leave for tomorrow what we can do today. We are Resilient - We don’t stand back from a challenge. We are a Crew - Collaborative, humble & transparent. We trust each other. We are Fixers - We have a can-do attitude, we find solutions.
