Recruitment Assistant for Nordic Startup Recruitment Platform 🦄

Salary DKK 140 - DKK 140

We are looking for a Recruitment Assistant with an interest in tech, sales, recruiting, and startups to join our forces at The Hub.

The Hub is one of the biggest recruitment platforms in the Nordics, focused 100% on successfully connecting startups and talent. Our mission is to help startups grow faster to reach their full potential and help talent find their next dream job. Empowered by a deep desire to create new and better ways for people to find meaningful work, we invite you to join our journey to become the world’s best startup recruitment marketplace 🚀.

Our current team has 9 people (and 1 office dog), half working from our office at Matrikel1 in Copenhagen, and half remotely. Our culture is built on five key values: Transparency, Integrity, Kindness, Impact, and Autonomy, and we work with a low hierarchy - high responsibility setup.

Running the largest Nordic startup job board with a small team is no simple task, but we all love a good challenge and taking on responsibility. We are not only passionate colleagues but also great friends with an incredible and unique team spirit. From team dinners and board game nights to summer house trips and bi-quarterly company excursions, we always make sure to have fun together outside of the office as well.

The Hub is in a very exciting phase, having recently launched a suite of new recruitment products for growth companies and scale-ups. With exclusive access to a 350k+ talent pool of startup-ready candidates, we’ve built a new way for startups to hire top talent at record speeds. The Hub's new Headhunter service has been trialed with 30+ startups and scale-ups from all Nordic countries over the past 3 months, across 50+ different positions. Our goal is to provide startups with a cheaper and faster alternative to traditional headhunter services. We’ve found product-market fit, but we need more hands to meet the increasing demand - that’s where you come in. We are now looking for a Recruitment Assistant to help us make the service even better for our customers, and attract more skilled candidates.

What will you be doing? 🪂

As our new Recruitment Assistant, you’ll be purely allocated to working on our new Headhunter service. In short, we take on recruitment projects for exciting growth companies across the Nordics, source for fitting talent on The Hub and external channels, and nudge them to apply, and get paid if they get hired. Simple, right?

You will be joining our Customer Success team (5 people), and report directly to our Head of Operations, Sofie. We work closely together, and we have the ambition to automate as many of the processes as we can, but right now a lot of manual work is required. We get guidelines and priorities from our CEO Thomas, and then it's up to us to translate this into specific tasks and plan what should be done and when.

We try to promote that everyone can go in-depth with the work they are most passionate about, but as a small team, we also have to take on tedious tasks from time to time. Everyone on the team shows great responsibility and willingness to help each other when required. You'll play a key role in helping us achieve all of the above, and below we have listed the goals you will work to reach.

Your weekly objectives will include:

  • Sourcing for top talent based on client requirements

    • Gain a deep understanding of our client's needs and educate yourself on the skill sets needed in a startup team

    • Leverage The Hub’s talent pool, LinkedIn, and other channels to identify and connect with potential candidates

    • Enthusiastic and professional outreach to candidates, to drive qualified applications to our Headhunter positions

  • Owning our client pipeline by performing continuous status reporting

    • Update application quantities, clicks, conversion rates, and other relevant metrics in our Headhunter dashboard

    • Identify opportunities, flag issues and implement solutions to drive more applications across our entire client portfolio

    • Coordinate sourcing priorities in close collaboration with the rest of the Customer Success team

Can you nail this? 🦸🏽

If you’re eager to kickstart a career in HR, recruiting, or talent acquisition, you’ve come to the right place.

We imagine you are an ambitious and talented person, who would like to learn a lot by joining a small team and taking ownership of some of our processes. Ideally, you are at the last part of a Bachelor's degree or the first part of a Master's and can be with us for at least a couple of years. You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks at once, and ready to tackle unexpected challenges.

The job both offers and requires flexibility, and to fit in you must be a team player and have a willingness to help wherever and whenever needed. You are not afraid of a steep learning curve, where you work hands-on with your tasks, and get the chance to take a lot of responsibility. And you are also upfront and honest, and willing to say no when needed.

If you finally have a good understanding of technology and find it easy when it comes to numbers and Excel/Google Sheets, you might be the perfect fit.

What is needed to succeed in this role? 🔎

  • A user-centric mindset and eagerness to always go the extra mile for the customers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and oral)

  • Analytical thinking and solution-orientation

  • Proactivity, positive energy, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude

  • Based in Copenhagen and able to work on-site at the office

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with talent acquisition, HR, customer service, e-mail marketing,

  • Experience from a tech platform or startup, and an interest in the Nordic startup ecosystem, entrepreneurship, and innovation

  • A great sense of humour

What's the catch? 🎣

No catch! You'll get:

  • A lot of responsibility from the get-go and a steep learning curve and personal/professional development

  • A part-time position with about 15-20 hours a week fits very well as a student job - we offer a lot of flexibility around exams etc. but also require flexibility from your end around deadlines and platform updates

  • The salary starts at 140 DKK per hour and increases with seniority and performance.

  • Being part of a small team of skilled, dedicated international people

  • Great laughs, social gatherings, and new friends (colleagues)

  • A great office environment at Matrikel1 right in the heart of Copenhagen, working with like-minded entrepreneurs

  • Catered lunches every day and freshly made coffee from our own baristas ☕️

Since we started we have built a value-adding service and successfully: - Distributed more than 1 million applications - Had over 7.000 startups register a profile on the platform - Connected more than 300.000 candidates with jobs in the Nordic startup scene Our mission is to help startups grow faster to reach their full potential, and help talent find their next dream job. Our ambition is to create a complete startup recruitment marketplace, offering the best service available. Empowered by a deep desire to create new and better ways for people to find meaningful work, we invite you to join our journey to become the World’s best startup recruitment marketplace 🚀. Besides a great product, our people are a big part of what makes The Hub succesfull! We all feel motivated to do great things, and work with a high drive to bring additional value to our startups and talent users. The Hub family is a small international team based at the beautiful Matrikel1 in the centre of Copenhagen. We have the freedom to work remotely, but also enjoy seeing each other as often as possible. Besides amazing colleagues another great plus in coming to the office is that lunch and coffee are second-to-none 😋 The Hub was initially started in 2015 by Danske Bank Growth with the help of Rainmaking Innovation to create valuable and impactful services for the rapidly growing Nordic startup ecosystem, focusing on tailored recruitment and fundraising services. In December 2022 Mesh Community took over operations of The Hub. Mesh Community is a leading Nordic provider of co-working spaces, innovation hubs, and startup accelerators. We are excited to have joined forces and are confident this will open up new doors of opportunity for our startup community.
