Shape Games is an award-winning digital b2b platform and service provider for the iGaming industry (sports betting & casino products).
We operate across Europe, North America, and South America with our native omni-channel frontend platform, alongside our agnostic control panel that makes operations and integration of providers simple, quick, and cost-effective.
The module-based solution is state-of-the-art and tested at scale with a number of market-leading clients.
We are now further strengthening our engineering departments & delivery model. Will you be our next Technical Product owner and join us on this exciting journey? Sharing your knowledge with the rest of us and learning from us in return? Together we'd be following the newest technology trends and have fun along the way.
As our new Technical Product Owner, you will help to shape the future of our products. You will join one of our (currently 10) Engineering teams, each responsible for one of our main products and all related features and development, and report to our CTO Jonas. A team has 4-8 colleagues working together, with a mix of profiles depending on the product, always ensuring that there are different nationalities and genders represented in a team.
More specifically you will work with our engineering teams and clients to:
drive product development;
determine product and technical requirements, based on client business requirements;
help coordinate product releases.
You will be responsible for:
translating business requirements to product requirements in dialogue with the client's business units;
performing an ongoing product refinement and dialogue with engineers in a sprint-based engineering cycle;
estimating engineering work and providing input to our delivery managers for planning;
owning the product implementation from a product, technical & architectural perspective.
Also, you will:
have the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and clients to bring products to market,
be responsible for staying up to date on industry trends.
More specifically we are looking for an experienced product owner to drive development of some of our product areas. We imagine you have solid technical background, to be able to engage in relevant discussions with the teams.
All internal communication is in English, no Danish is needed, and we have an open work-from-home policy, as long as you are based in Copenhagen, so you can attend meetings when needed.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a product owner mixed with experience as a developer, alternatively a degree in computer science/IT management combined with 3+ years experience incl. 2 as a product owner
Strong communication skills to keep stakeholders updated, write requirements and assist engineers with planning & clarifications
A structured approach that will help the account teams & clients to plan for the coming 3-6 months' backlog
Ability to analyze market trends and customer preferences
Good people skills, to help build relations internally & externally in our organization.
Extra points if you have:
Experience from the online sports betting or online casino industry, or a personal interest in betting
Experience with our tech stack is a plus: mobile development (iOS and Android), web development, Swift, Kotlin, React, AWS, PostgreSQL, and Jira.
⏱ Full-time, 37.5 hours a week.
📍 This is a Copenhagen-based, on-site position with flexible remote work possibilities. (If you are looking for a fully remote position, check which one is available from this list)
💬 English proficiency is a must. Danish language skills are not expected.
