Resights is an online platform compiling available property data, to offer it as a SaaS solution, giving our customers everything they need to get an overview. They claim data is the new oil - and we have democratized the drilling tool for the entire real estate industry.

About being a Frontend Lead at Resights

As our new Frontend lead you will join our Engineering team, and report to our CTO Mikkel. Let us take you inside the Engineering team at Resights. The Engineering team is 14 people strong, divided almost evenly between frontend and backend, with many different backgrounds, nationalities and cultures.

Our working language is English, and even though it's okay to work from home now and then, we have an office first culture, where most of the team choose to come in, because we really enjoy working alongside each other. We have an agile-like approach to our development, working in sprints with daily stand-ups and collaborate using Notion.

The Engineering team works in close collaboration with our Product team. We actually see the two teams as one big team, sharing goals and responsibility. So while your main responsibility will be leading the Frontend development, you will be working close with Thomas, our Head of Product, as well as Emil, our Backend Lead.

We like to think of ourselves as sympathetic doers, meaning we are able to make serious progress super fast without sacrificing being human in the process. We laugh, we have fun, and we know what happens in each others’ lives. We are a team where all opinions are valued and listened to. Best idea wins, that’s how we like to go about it.

Resights' application is not your typical frontend; it's a place where you have to be creative and deeply excited about the possibilities of the data. It's a challenging animal where great engineering principles are put to the test.

What we expect from you

  • Leading and mentoring the frontend team in all projects and efforts we are running

  • Developing and implementing best practices for frontend development

  • Planningscoping and evaluating pros and cons of simple vs. complex implementations

  • Managing project timelines and deliverables for the frontend team

  • Be the go-to person for feedback, reviews and quality of work from the frontend team

  • Guiding and helping your team making the right engineering decisions

  • Ensuring code quality, maintainability, and scalability

  • Coding! We are still a small organisation - expect to get your hands dirty.

  • A project is not done before it is in production.

Our Tech stack

The frontend stack consists of Vue.js, NuxtJS and Typescript, deployed in Kubernetes on Amazon Web Services.

Our backend is written in Python, and we leverage Elasticsearch, Postgres and Redis.

  • Launched a major update for our real estate agents, which is a new and rapidly growing segment. You can read about it here (Danish).

  • Launched the most comprehensive API for real estate data in DK, which we are also dogfooding. Check it out here (Danish).

  • Launched an update for our real estate Trades module. It is the most complete database of transactions in DK.

Currently, we are working on a new Analysis module. It enables our users to access data ranging from demographic data to company data and allows them to build custom visualisations and graphs. It will be a game-changer, and we can’t wait to launch!

Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Lead, who is attracted by a chance to take existing large-scale projects to the next level and ensure that we can continue developing outstanding features three years from now. You possess a clear vision of how to merge exceptional engineering with product thinking.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development

  • 1+ years as a frontend lead

  • Strong background developing single page applications with Vue.js, React or similar

  • Based in Copenhagen and able to work onsite

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Experience in communicating goals, priorities and projects in a comprehensible way

Bonus points for

  • Vue.js experience

  • Startup experience

  • Experience in feature flagging or the likes

  • Experience working with real estate or data

  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch is a plus
