The importance of bacteria in both industrial and medical applications is expanding exponentially. SBT Instruments has developed a novel technology for fast and accurate bacteria-counting which is accelerating R&D and optimization work within the biotech and biopharmaceutical industries.We are looking fora student assistant to join our production team at DTU NanoLab in manufacturing our microfluidic flow cells, the heart of all our products.

About SBT

SBT Instruments was established in 2014 as a spin-out from the Technical University of Denmark. Today, the company employs 16 people, has acquired two patents(recently filed for a third), and has two products on the market. We are partly owned by the Ellab-Fonden, a Danish commercial foundation that supports important and impactful social, humanitarian, and research projects.

The position

As a hands-on force, you will work alongside the technical lead of SBT Instruments to carry out the manufacturing processes at DTU Nanolab. The ideal candidate is highly motivated and has experience working in a cleanroom environment, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols.

The tasks

  • Fabrication of the microfluidic flow cell with state-of-the-art cleanroom tools.

  • Maintaining the stock to guarantee ongoing production.

  • Assisting in R&D work.

The above list is non-exhaustive. All work is performed on 6"/150 mm wafers.

About you

  • You have cleanroom experience and have performed previous project work in a cleanroom.

  • You have completed relevant courses on cleanroom processing offered by DTU.

  • You are a good communicator and team player with an interest in execution.

  • You can work independently while maintaining a structured and systematic approach.

  • You are diligent in your work.

  • You are energetic, positive and possess a can-do attitude.
