The Scandinavian startup Live Klassisk is looking for interns to help with communication, sales and establishing partnerships. Experience in the fields of art and culture is an advantage but not a requirement. The work is based in Denmark, Norway and Sweden respectively. Not a paid internship but with future potential for a percentage of sale or an hourly salary.
Classical music is often associated with being inaccessible and difficult to approach - a misconception that is only strengthened by the fact that the classical music world is highly difficult to navigate and that it requires extensive knowledge and time to find classical concerts.
At Live Klassisk we want to change this by providing easy access to information about classical music and all classical concerts and festivals in Scandinavia. Through the Live Klassisk platform, both young and core audiences have an easy entry into the classical music world.
Live Klassisk currently has more than 300 partners, including many orchestras, ensembles, festivals, venues, and freelance artists in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

Who you are
You are easy to work with, are comfortable with working independently, are fluent in either Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish, and have previous experience with communication, sales, and establishing partnerships. It is a big plus if you have previous experience in the arts and culture field, but it is not a requirement.
Your work will consist of reaching out to orchestras, institutions, ensembles, festivals, music series, large classical music organizations, and freelance artists all around Denmark, Norway, or Sweden to establish partnerships and onboard them to Live Klassisk. This will be done by mail, phone, or in some cases in physical meetings.
Who we are
We are a small team of two with a strong passion for and many years of first-hand experience in the classical music industry from Scandinavia to Central Europe, Canada, and the USA.
Erik Danciu is a violin graduate from the soloist class at The Royal Danish Academy of Music with previous studies in Vienna and the USA. From 2018 - 2023 he played 1. violin in DR SymfoniOrkestret.
Daniel Lyngstad is also a violin graudate from The Royal Danish Academy of Music and plays 1. violin in The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. Alongside his violin career, he is the founder of several classical music festivals in Norway.
What is Live Klassisk?
Live Klassisk is a digital platform for classical music, providing easy access to all live classical concerts, festivals, ensembles, and venues in Scandinavia.
The platform launched in Scandinavia in August 2020 (mid-pandemic) and has since grown to have more than 10.000 classical concerts and hundreds of ensembles, festivals, venues, and concert series.
We are hoping to be able to expand to the rest of the Nordic countries and other European countries in the near future.
The fine print
The position as an intern is not a paid position but if the work results in a certain amount of sales and onboarding we will be more than happy to offer either a percentage of sales or an hourly salary.
We all work from home and you will have highly flexible hours. Furthermore, you will be part of a team of highly passionate, ambitious, and kind colleagues with a strong dose of team spirit and will be working directly together with some of the biggest orchestras, ensembles, and artists in the classical music industry.
