Salary Unpaid

This year, Copenhagen Architecture Festival investigates the theme of Life Form, aiming to rethink the relationship between form and life through new narratives, metaphors and models for architecture and architectural production.

We invite creative minds and enthusiasts of regenerative urban practices to join the CAFx Team to help plan and execute this year's many Festival events and initiatives! By participating in CAFx's volunteering program, you can become an active CAFx Ambassador during the festival period, work closely with a small interdisciplinary team and experience the behind-the-scenes of a Festival's making!

Volunteers will receive a CAFx 2023 membership and free access to all the exhibitions, talks, debates, film screenings, guided tours and networking events and more organized this year by CAFx!

Your tasks can include physical promotion of the festival program, content creation for digital marketing and PR for the CAFx Community, event coordination, hospitality service during events, photo-videography or exhibition-making, depending on your skills, availability and professional background. CAFx's 2023 volunteering program runs from 11 May to 15 June, and would require ca. 20-40 hours of your time within this timeframe (flexible).

We are looking to build a small dedicated team of volunteers, therefore will not be able to accommodate all applications.

Working at
Copenhagen Architecture Festival

CAFx embraces a broad understanding of architecture as change-driving and relevant to everyone—not just professionals. This is why we work to create new and wider connections across social, professional, cultural and methodological divides. Our aim is to challenge the field of architecture and promote critical thinking, inspiring, engaging and raising awareness of how architecture and urban planning shape our lives and the world—and vice versa. Architecture is not just bricks, spaces and frames. It is sensual, bodily and social. It is political, historical and psychological. Architecture is human, and it affects every aspect of life.
