Salary Competitive

Are you a data engineering virtuoso? Do you thrive in working with databases and tools for collecting, querying, and storing information?

Are you passionate about devising and implementing best practices in data collection and analytical experimentation? Are you eager to take the lead in constructing top-of-the-line data infrastructure and pipelines? If you answered yes to these questions, then we want you on our team at Radiobotics!

Who we are

At Radiobotics, our mission is to revolutionize radiology by designing ML/DL-based products that enhance radiologists' workflow, improve diagnostic quality, and reduce waiting times. We develop algorithms for the automatic analysis and description of routine medical X-ray images at hospitals, specializing in musculoskeletal radiology. Our beautiful central Copenhagen office is where we work, swim in the harbor during the summer, and enjoy each other's company.

Who you are

We are seeking a pragmatic individual who values iterations and utilizes the most appropriate tools for the task at hand. As an accomplished Python developer with experience in constructing data pipelines, you will excel in the role of our Data Engineer. In this capacity, you will spearhead the development of Radiobotics' data infrastructure and pipelines, collaborating closely with our data science team to gather and analyze data, thereby facilitating data-driven decision-making.

If you are eager to embrace this opportunity, we invite you to join our team and contribute to the creation of something remarkable!

Your educational background likely encompasses computer science, software engineering, or a related field. However, your technical prowess, coupled with your ability to learn rapidly, work autonomously, and collaborate effectively, are the attributes we truly value. As a small, close-knit team with an informal atmosphere, we prioritize finding a new member who can seamlessly integrate within our group dynamic.

At Radiobotics, your primary responsibility will be to lead our Data Engineering initiatives, contribute to the enhancement of our existing ML/DL processes, and support the development of algorithms for our cutting-edge products.

As a compact organization, we wear many hats, and we anticipate that you will leverage your expertise in software development to refine and introduce a novel outlook to our product offerings' software components.

Data that you will be working with

Unstructured data consisting of medical image data (especially x-ray images) across multiple countries. Furthermore, you will be working with medical text reports and records.

Semi-structured data including annotations for the training of deep learning algorithms (objects like segmentation masks, bounding boxes, etc.) and metadata of medical DICOM images.

You will be working in our tech stack which consists of Python-powered pipelines running in Prefect for onboarding of data into Azure Data Lake for cloud storage. We use dbt to build our PostgreSQL databases.

Our data infrastructure runs in Azure and is provisioned and managed using Terraform, and our BI visualizations are done using Metabase.

What we expect from you

  • You have minimum of 3+ years of industry experience from a Data Engineer or similar role

  • You have strong skills in Python and good general experience in software development, writing maintainable code, and implementing patterns where applicable

  • You have experience working with technologies like Prefect, Luigi, dbt, PostgreSQL, Azure Data Lake, Docker, or equivalent

  • You have experience designing and working with analytics databases and are fluent in SQL

  • You have experience working with unstructured and semi-structured data

  • You are skilled in explaining and presenting analyses and concepts to a broad technical audience

  • You have ownership and responsibility of the parts of the project you implement/lead

  • You’re positive and driven, and a fast learner

Other relevant experience

  • BI experience - creating dashboards and automating reporting

  • Exposure to annotation platforms such as V7, LabelBox, ScaleAI or SuperAnnotate

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning algorithm development
