We are seeking a talented sales and marketing intern to join our small but dynamic team and help us map out and contact current and potential customers. As an intern, you will have a unique opportunity to take ownership of this important aspect of our business and make a significant impact on our growth. We are a small company, and as such, you will have a great deal of responsibility and freedom in shaping our sales and marketing strategy, which will give you invaluable experience and a chance to showcase your skills. We will launch our platform around August 2023, so you will be an integral part of our first real sales push.
At AquaReg, we combine wastewater data from a range of sources to provide an overview of wastewater challenges. We map wastewater from 120,000+ factories in Europe and North America and use this knowledge to match the best solutions with the biggest problems – and we need your help.
About the internship
As a marketing and sales intern in AquaReg, you will be responsible for researching and identifying potential customers, as well as developing and implementing outreach strategies to engage them. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our existing customers to understand their needs and preferences and to help us tailor our products and services to better meet their needs. You will be part of a small team, so you will have many different responsibilities, including:
Mapping of potential clients – our clients are typically companies that make wastewater solutions: treatment systems, sensors, pumps, filters, etc.
Contacting and communicating with clients
Answering client queries
Marketing on social media
Writing of newsletter
Sales calls
Customer onboarding
Another ad hoc support
You will be working directly with CEO Søren Schou, who has 8 years of strategy consulting experience from Accenture Strategy and Monitor Deloitte. We will help you hone your skills and build your business toolbox.
The internship is full-time and is planned to start in July/August/September with a duration of a minimum of 12 weeks. The internship is unpaid. We are flexible in terms of your studies/specific requirements.
Our offices are centrally located at Rådhuspladsen 16 in downtown Copenhagen, where we sit together with other companies – we expect you to be physically present at least two days per week.
Your qualifications
We expect you to be studying marketing, sales, marketing management, communication, or similar – possibly as an Academy Profession Degree (professions bachelor) or similar.
Good people skills
Curiosity and an interest in sustainability (we don’t expect you to have in-depth knowledge about the water sector when you start)
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (other languages are a plus)
You are a team player as well as able to work independently
At AquaReg we do not always know what tomorrow brings, so an ability to handle uncertainty and a can-do attitude is a must
