And we are now looking for an ambitious business controller with a passion for startups to join our efforts and make a difference.

About the role:

As our new business controller you will join our Finance team, currently 5 people, and work closely with and report to our COO Karl Kristian.

You will be responsible for providing up-to-date financial projections and highlighting and identifying the most important actions we can take to improve our current operational units and to succeed with our expansion and growth.

Some of the systems we work with include E-conomics, Tripletex, Planday, Stripe and Notion.

You will be working with large amounts of structured and less structured data, and support our operations by providing clear communication of findings and recommendations to our hub managers and the management team.

The role will include some traveling across the Nordics, as you will be collaborating with people across our different hubs and units in Copenhagen, Oslo, and Trondheim and also be an integral part of rolling out new hubs in the Nordics.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Budgeting & forecasting: Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting. Work together with our General Managers (Sondre, Arnstein, Frederik & Thomas), unit managers and in close collaboration with our COO Karl-Kristian.

  • Controlling: Continuous business controlling of costs and revenue e.g. reconciliation control, lease contract vs cost reconciliations, and annual common cost review.

  • Reporting: Develop and maintain regular reports and analyses of our key departments.

  • Business analysis: Analyse and evaluate our business, eg. space utilisation at hubs for optimal performance, product offering, and pricing for all product lines based on historic performance and competing options.

  • Management support: Support management with Ad-Hoc reports for Board, shareholder, investor, or sales-related processes. 

  • Expansion support: Be an integral part of the company's expansion team. Provide analysis and data to support decision-making when expanding.  

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for someone with proven experience working with financial budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and overall business analysis. As a person you need to have passion, energy and enthusiasm as well as be structured and able to keep an overview, as is needed to work in a fast-moving business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience from a company in the Nordics

  • Experience with financial budgetting, controlling, and overall business analysis

  • Proficiency in MS Excel/Google sheets

  • Strong analytical mind, comfortable with numbers

  • A relevant bachelor's degree within business or finance

  • Fluency in English

  • Based in Oslo, Copenhagen, Trondheim or Stockholm

Bonus points for:

  • Speaking one Scandinavian language

  • Experience working with startups

  • Interest for and- or knowledge about ESG reporting and legislation

  • Interested in implementations of AI tools (Chat GPT, Stable Diffusion, Whisper, DALL-E-2)
