Data Science P/T – Sustainability, Carbon Accounting, Financed Emissions & Data

We are looking for a Junior Associate to join our sustainability team and help us drive our initiatives within Carbon Accounting, Financed Emissions & Data. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and an interest in carbon accounting. In the team we will be working with financed emissions, supplier-specific emission factors, and data - lots of data - so knowledge of and interest in these areas is an advantage

We operate in the intersection of fintech, greentech, and proptech and utilize technology to create innovative solutions for Commercial Real Estate Investors and Banks in Denmark and UK with our sector-leading carbon accounting software. You will be joining a team of great engineers, developers, designers, sales, and customer success professionals who are all passionate about making a difference for the planet, our customers, and our colleagues.  

You will work closely with our Chief Sustainability Officer in areas like:

• Tracking and implementing internal sustainability strategies and initiatives

• Creating benchmarks, indexes, and insights from more than 90 million datapoint on more than 600.000 buildings

• Data-collection, Analyzing, and tracking of our internal carbon emissions and other environmental data

• Developing and managing insights for developing our world-leading carbon accounting system

• Assisting with the development of our product's financed emissions methodology

• Researching and analyzing data related to sustainability initiatives and targets

• Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders

• Assisting with the development of sustainability reports

• Supporting the development of sustainability policies and procedures

The ideal candidate will tick off several of these boxes:

• Experience with BigQuery, GCP, Python

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Finance, Engineering, Data Science, Accounting)

• Knowledge of sustainability, carbon accounting, financed emissions, and data

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Ability to manage tasks within multiple projects and prioritize tasks

• Proficiency in Google Workspace (Similar to MS Office)
