Penneo is a fast-growing RegTech (Regulatory Technology) SaaS company headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

Penneo started with three people who had the ambition of reducing the hassle of getting documents signed by delivering a digital signature platform. Then, we evolved into a set of solutions for automating workflows related to client onboarding (KYC), signing, and document management.

Following our listing on Nasdaq Copenhagen Main Market in April 2022, we are now, more than ever, in a position to execute our European expansion strategy and scale our operations to maximize value to our existing and future customers.

Do you want to be part of it?

We are now hiring a German Sales Assistant who will help us with go-to-market strategy and European expansion.

You will report directly to our  COO, André Clement, and have our awesome New Markets Manager, Milad as your closest collaborator.

This is a Student position, part-time based in Copenhagen.

We expect you to:

  • Be a top-performing student (top-of-class grades) with a commercial mindset, pursuing a technical or business degree;

  • Be able to communicate well through both written and verbal communication;

  • Be someone who is not scared of jumping in cold water, gets out of their comfort zone, and doesn’t settle for a 2nd place award;

  • Be a German Native Speaker 


The current challenging part of this role

  • No brand awareness in Germany.


How will this role progress?

It is important to us to be as transparent as possible and to allow you to level expectations for the role. Therefore, we share our impact description in advance and would love your thoughts about it in your cover letter.


During the 1st month, you will:  

  • Meet your new colleagues and understand who is doing what;

  • Get comfortable with the day-to-day operations of the team;

  • Understand Penneo’s expansion strategy in Germany;

  • Use the product(s) as a customer;

  • Start reaching out to the first prospects in Germany and book the first meeting;

  • Assess and engage in weekly meetings with your New Markets colleagues.

Within 3 months, you will: 

  • Schedule the first “roadshow” in Germany with min. 9 companies;

  • Be comfortable pitching Penneo on the phone with prospects;

  • Handle objections comfortably;

  • Understand how auditors and accountants work, and how Penneo’s solution can add value to their current work processes.

Within 6 months, you will:  

  • Take part in discovery meetings;

  • Schedule 10 sales meetings a month with key stakeholders;

  • Maintain strong relationships with engaged stakeholders;

  • Find “your style” in sales outreach;

  • Add value in both internal and external meetings with the expertise you’ve obtained.

Within 12 months, you will:  

  • Support the onboarding of your new teammates; 

  • Take on more responsibility, either as a junior account manager or as a business analyst;

  • Run virtual discovery meetings independently;

  • Visit conferences, forums, and other on-site events in Germany.

About our interview process:

We know that going through a recruitment process can be pretty demanding sometimes, so we want you to know what to expect:

  • Call with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team (~30m): introduction to the company, mutual initial expectation leveling.

  • Call with our New Markets Manager, Milad(~45m): Get to know each other, assess for mutual fit, introduction to the impact and goals for the position.

  • The practicalities (~45m): Closing talk with New Markets Manager, Milad agreeing on compensation, starting date, and all other practical details.


All of our interviews can be conducted remotely, scheduled via email and Google Meet for audio/video calls if you prefer.
