Would you like to learn how to run cyber attack simulations in a fintech startup?
Do you have a keen interest in cyber security, intelligence analysis, IT, and/or business administration?
As a Cyber Wargame Intern, you will help ensure a smooth, immersive and efficient learning experience for our Crisis Management Team when we run cyber attack simulations.
You’ll be assisting our cyber security specialist in creating and running simulations at a strategic level.
Your work will focus on the high-level business perspective on crisis management (rather than on the technical side of cyber security), as strategic simulations involve specialists from across the company, e.g. customer care, finance, operations, marketing, legal, and communications.
Use your analytical skills to identify possible cyber attack vectors and cyber pains of the company.
Identify the possible options to exploit the company’s weaknesses and next steps from the hacker’s point of view.
Anticipate the reactions of the company and its stakeholders to a cyber attack and its impact.
Design a scenario that creates the right amount of pressure on the Crisis Management Team participating in the simulation.
Create the multimedia content to simulate a realistic and immersive crisis situation for the strategic management level.
Assist in facilitating the simulation, from the physical setup to managing the integration with Slack and other tools
Assist in writing a report to analyse learnings and recommend useful changes in the company.
While the internship is unpaid, you will get a unique opportunity for gaining experience that can help move your career forward.
You will be working in close coordination with our Cyber Security Specialist, while getting plenty of flexibility to manage your own time.
On top of that, you can expect to…
get practical experience in how to create cyber war games, learning from our Cyber Risk Specialist, who worked two years on the Cyber Wargaming and Strategy team in Deloitte
become part of a friendly and ambitious team, who are eager to share their knowledge and experience with you
work with some of the best connected people in the Danish crypto industry
get first-hand experience what it is like to work in a FinTech start-up
learn about cyber risk management
In a fast-paced startup, things change quickly, so we expect you to take initiative, be quick to adjust, and be happy to manage both big and small requests.
You are motivated by an energetic, collaborative environment with changing tasks, and you are not thrown off by unexpected requests or changes in priorities.
It will help you succeed if you are open-minded, patient, and detail-oriented.
You love creative and practical problem solving and take pride in making things happen. If you can create structure in chaos, that will help you, too.
You might be in the last year of your Bachelor or studying a Master’s program, and the internship might be part of your studies. However, what you do on a daily basis is less important than you having a genuine interest in cyber security and being keen on hands-on learning.
You of course need to have a genuine interest in cyber security, and some tech savviness will be necessary, too, although no deep technical skills are needed.
If you are eager and quick to learn, we can teach you the skills you need to shine.
It will be a big advantage if you:
have experience working with Mac/iPhone
have worked with Microsoft Office and the Google suite, e.g., you can create nice slide presentations
have knowledge about cyber attacks that have happened worldwide
are able to think ahead and come up with new ideas, rather than wait for instructions
The internship is unpaid, and the duration can be 3-6 months, depending on your preferences.
The working hours are quite flexible and we will agree on an amount of hours that suits you (we expect a minimum of 10 hours a week, but can easily scale it up to 37 hours, if that is what you are looking for).
You can partially work from home, but we do expect you to come to our office in the centre of Copenhagen min. a couple of days per week, to ensure the best possible learning experience for you.
The starting date can be as soon as possible (no later than 1st May 2023).
A work computer (Mac) and other equipment you need
Free fruit, snacks, coffee and tea
Free, healthy buffet lunch
Nice office in the centre of Copenhagen
Option to do some work from home
Monthly social events with the team and the whole company
Deadline for application is 17th March 2023.
