At Simplyture we’re building the next generation of parking systems, with a goal to revolutionize the mobility industry. We’ve found product-market-fit, are starting our scale-up journey, and we need a strong Head of Software (/Engineering/CTO) to join us to guide our software development and ensure we’re delivering the best possible solutions to our customers’ problems.
You’ll be leading a software team of 7, including a designer, and responsible for a platform tracking thousands of parking sessions every day across Scandinavia and the UK - with Germany next on our list!
The parking industry has been around forever, and is still dominated by outdated players, which is why we’re excited to be out there challenging them and winning market share! There is huge potential in the space which gives us an amazing opportunity, but to do so we need a strong software leader that can empower their team to deliver the solutions that will delight our customers.
What will you do in the role?
Lead our software development team, bringing in strong software talent and revamping our technical approach and platform architecture for the next stage of our growth
Drive our software delivery process, from scoping to design to delivery, by building strong internal partnerships and facilitating discussion
Facilitate discussion in the team about strategic technical priorities, and guide their decision making based on factors such as TCO, delivery speed, and ease of hiring
Define product requirements and features, and prioritize appropriately based on impact, cost, and feasibility - you’ll be the owner of the prioritization process
With the company vision in mind, take inputs from our CEO and sales, marketing, and operations departments to manage our product roadmap
Manage the product team, from coordinating sprint planning and standups to running 1-2-1s and yearly reviews
Work with the operations department to manage delivery of new features and products, support of existing features, and coordinating project delivery
Report your department KPIs to the CEO and board, and identify areas for improvement in our product and team
You’ll succeed at the role if
You have 4+ years of experience in similar early-stage software leadership roles - this is a hands-on (but non-coding) role and we’re looking for someone not afraid to roll up their sleeves, but that also knows when to delegate
You are an experienced people manager and enjoy guiding and mentoring your team - you know how to bring out the best in people
You have built complex software products, and deeply understand the software development process - you’ll be the key technical stakeholder facing our customers, as well as the technical strategy lead internally, and need to be able to go deep into detail whenever required
You can keep track of requirements and delivery status across a full product portfolio and the full product lifecycle - you’re structured, detail-oriented, and not afraid to ask questions
You’re used to working with external customers - you’ll be spending a lot of time helping customers with integration queries and managing customer-facing implementation projects
