Node.js developer for sustainable start-up

We are kleen hub, the future of reusable packaging. Our company has launched Denmark's first digital return system for food packaging and coffee cups, already offered by 150 partners and used by more than 10.000 people.

We are working on a new, revolutionary product that aspires to become the new standard in the reusable packaging industry. For this reason, we are looking for a Node.js developer to develop the server side of the application, designing the application logic and maintaining the databases. You will strive to achieve and maintain high performance and responsiveness, prioritizing the responsiveness to requests from the front-end above all else.

While the front-end elements will be developed by your coworkers from another team, you will be responsible for their integration into the overall project. Therefore, you need to be comfortable with being in charge of the scrum process and to dictate the rhythm of both front-end and back-end development together with our tech lead in Copenhagen.

The main company is based in Copenhagen. However, we are looking for a full-remote developer to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop the back-end software, maintain and update the existing code;

• Design and develop highly reliable, fault-tolerant, and scalable production systems

• Perform and manage analysis, design, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities

• Deploy and develop on cloud infrastructure using modern scalable environment

• Manage and update the Scrum workflow ;

• Assist with creation and development of feature requirements;

• Report issues with the code and improve upon them.

Requirements

• 5+ years of programming experience;

• 3+ years of TypeScript and Node.js experience;

• Experience with REST, NestJS, MySQL, MongoDb, Redis;

• Experience with Git, Jira

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker and AWS Infrastructure;

• Understanding of asynchronous development and data security principles;

• Ability to write readable, well-documented code;

• Self-motivation, goal-oriented approach;

• Intermediate (or higher) English skills.
