Lead Developer / Engineer

We are currently hiring a lead developer / engineer to work closely with the rest of the team to take the technical ownership of our platform. For the right candidate this role might evolve into a CTO position taking full ownership of the engineering efforts at the company.

Responsibilities

Planning and documenting technical specifications for features or system design
Designing, building and configuring the backend application
Writing testable, scalable, and efficient code
Take technical ownership of the platform

Formal skills

Degree in computer science, engineering or similar field
+5 years of industrial experience (building real stuff with users)
Solid experience in software development
Experience with computer vision and machine learning is preferable
Knowledge of IOS/Android native apps would be nice
Experience from building an engineering / R&D team in a fast moving startup environment is a benefit

Details

Backend running in European cloud (for legal reasons not on AWS, Google or similar)
Backend implemented in python
Frontend running as a native app in IOS (and being migrated to Android)
Backend code is primarily written in python
