We are looking for a colleague to become Project Manager and pilot our new learning academy. Over the next almost 1.5 years, you can be the project manager who develops "Station Academy" for students across disciplines.

The goal is to unite young people across educational backgrounds in personal and professional learning experiences and communities. With the project, we want to address a number of challenges that many young people experience regarding unhappiness, loneliness and a lack of social communities in their studies. The project comes up with a solution to these problems through a series of learning communities, which will give young people the opportunity to meet other young people across educational backgrounds and learn new things together. Concretely, the project consists of three learning courses, which are made up of workshops that contribute to professional development and social community.

Your responsibilities as a project manager will be to:

  • coordinate internal resources and collaborations for a successful development and execution of Station Academy

  • ensure that the project is delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget

  • develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • develop a detailed project plan to track progress

  • report and escalate potential issues to management as needed

  • create and maintain project documentation

  • potentially manage and support a volunteer project team

We expect you to have:

  • excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Danish)

  • solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • great team working skills and flair for motivating other people

  • passion for working with students and involvement of young people

Station is managed by a small team of employees and many volunteers. We are a team and community of both Danes and internationals, which is why it is necessary that you are fluent in English. As project manager for this project, you will be part of the backbone and work closely with highly engaged, curious, and young people who are all eager to make a difference both for students and in society at large. We hope that you are interested in joining the team and get to now both our employees and volunteers alike.

We are eager to meet you!

The position is time limited and will run out on 30 June 2023 but with the hope of being able to continue the collaboration with the Capital Region and as such the position.

If you would like to know more about the position, you can contact Organisational Director Mikkel Nielsen.

Deadline for application is January 15. Please send your CV and motivational letter.

Interviews will be held on an ongoing basis.

We are an interdisciplinary community of students and recent graduates, who: 1. create the most thriving crossdisciplinary student community 2. empower students through hands-on programmes and projects about sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, and 3. engage in collaborations with the private, public and civic sector. Station is a non-profit volunteer foundation dedicated to youth communities, well-being promotion, and empowering students. Our mission is to create meaningful and inclusive communities that allow students from across the country's higher education institutions to transform their engagement, curiosity, and ideas into positive change for themselves and the world. We are located in the former Frederiksberg police station at Howitzvej 30, which, following extensive renovation funded by support raised by students themselves, now serves as a modern hub for activities and innovation for students and graduates. Station is a meeting point for young people, students, and graduates who wish to participate in new and meaningful value-driven communities, challenge themselves in their fields, and be inspired by new mindsets and perspectives. Each year, we welcome over 50,000 visitors to our house, representing a diverse range of students and graduates with varying expertise, nationalities, and cultures. We serve as the nexus for approximately 250 regular members, 24 student organizations, and 100 volunteers annually, who engage through our ongoing volunteer initiatives, learning programs, and over 60 yearly activities. Station is operated by a professional secretariat that carries out tasks related to e.g. community building, project management, event management, communications, fundraising, business development, partnerships, and more. By collaborating closely with volunteers and student initiatives, we work to ensure transparency and cross-collaboration within our community and organisation, where our members, volunteers and visitors are the heart of our organisation and at the forefront of our movement.
