Fullstack Engineer / Developer

Salary Competitive
Equity To be negotiated

We are looking for a full stack engineer/developer who wants to shape the web application of Impactly for the complex and new social impact domain, while being a part of the impact-minded development team of Impactly.

You will work with our Head of Product to create a wonderful experience in Impactly and build a sophisticated backend engine to calculate Social Return on Investment.

  • You will ideate designs that help solve these needs with the rest of the team.

  • You will turn these designs into functional and scalable solutions.

  • You will help develop the business logic for these designs.

  • You will help make our solution scalable and stable.

  • You will help make our solution secure and private.

  • For the right candidate, the opportunity to become CTO is possible.

We offer

In general, we want you to live the way you enjoy while being part of a growing scaleup that you also will shape and form. The things we now offer are:

  • Salary you can use to live and thrive 💵

  • Equity package on which you can get wealthy 💰

  • Flexible working hours and location 👩‍💻🏢

  • Four-day work week (if you so desire) ⛱️

  • The equipment and licenses you need 💻

  • Friday bars (of course!) 🍻

  • Opportunity to get a leading part of a growing team 📈

  • Personal and professional development plan 🌱

  • Paid extra education or certification 📚

Are there things you would really love to see on this list? Then don't hesitate to tell us!

Who you are

To thrive in this role, you should be crazy curious and driven to learn about the social area, our customers and tech stack. You thrive in the deep backend and love to tinker with new technologies to create a better product. You also love working with customers to create a delightful frontend experience that integrates fully with the backend. We suspect you have finished a programming or computer science degree and are eager to put it into practice! A big plus if you have worked as a leader in software before.

Key skills

We know great programmers can learn any language, so you don't have to know our exact stack. But to be able to function well in this role, you should, at minimum, have experience working with:

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs

  • HTML, CSS, JavaScrip / TypeScript

  • JavaScript framework (we use ReactJS)

  • Essential UI/UX design knowledge

  • Backend programming languages (we use C# & .Net Core 6)

  • NoSQL databases (we use AWS' DynamoDB)

It would also be fantastic if you had experience with:

  • Cloud platforms (we use AWS)

  • DevOps (we use a combination of AWS and Docker)

  • REST APIs

The practicalities

The application process is very lighthearted. You send us an application before the 14th of January, and then if we like your profile, we will talk sometime in January. The process is first-come, first-interview, but we aim to get back to you as soon as possible.

Your application should include:

  • Who you are

  • Why you want to join

  • Access to your portfolio (what you previously have worked on)

If all goes well, we want you to start around January
