Nordetect is on a mission to improve the way chemicals are used in the food chain. We are a DeepTech company that produces Lab-on-a-chip devices and SaaS products for environmental and agricultural testing. Our products enable farm managers, greenhouse growers, and vertical farmers to reduce risk and ensure richer harvests by leveraging data that is easy to understand and implement. We're in the process of growing our customer base and are looking for new members to join us on this mission.

As a UX/UI Designer, you will be working closely together with the product team in co-developing the user experiences and graphical interfaces of our hardware and software solutions. The position will include researching, prototyping, and implementing optimal user flows. You will be working on the UX/UI for web, mobile and custom hardware screens.

The work cannot be done completely remotely and hence we seek a candidate in the Greater Copenhagen Area. The place of work is Copenhagen Bioscience Park (COBIS) in Nørrebro.

This is an unpaid internship, however, there is an option for a stipend for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Transform design briefs into intuitive UX designs that function across different platforms

• Produce wireframes, flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes as you explore and iterate toward a working solution

• Develop and maintain UX and UI needs following company's brand direction and design requirements

• Work closely with the team and the customers to deliver the best possible consistent user experience while staying within the engine’s technical requirements

• Actively participate in qualitative review meetings

Qualifications:

• You have a solid understanding of UX and UI design principles and best practices

• You are proficient in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, etc.

• You have experience, knowledge and/or a passion for data visualization

• You are able to create interactive prototypes that range from simple to complex

• You document your work well, showing your process, design thinking and creating an easy reference for others

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English

As a person, you are energetic and take initiative to get things done. Your work is structured and you are able to manage priorities and maintain timelines. You work well independently, but see yourself as a team player with the motivation to work within a fast-paced, interdisciplinary and dynamic environment.
