Rodinia Generation is a software and hardware fashion-tech startup since 2018, who has invented a patent-pending climate-friendly process for production of clothes.
Rodinia is well established start-up with a professional and experienced board of directors as well as international investors. The company's offices and hi-tech micro factory is located in a newly renovated premise in Copenhagen. Rodinia Generation has an ambitious goal to improve the fashion industry by making it possible to produce locally, eco-friendly, and social responsibly. Rodinia Generation next milestone is to build a fully automated clothing production line. We call it a micro-factory since it only requires 200 sqm while still being competitive to traditional factories. Rodinia Generation’s grand vison is to enable a global network of microfactories around the planet, so that clothes can be made locally without harming the environment. This position will lead the development of our pilot production line towards increased automation in consultation with our Head of Software and Head of Operations. The pilot production line includes a digital textile printer, dryer, CNC cutter and robotic arms among others.

As a minimum you hold a bachelor or diploma in engineering within machinery, production, automation or in related fields.
You have minimum 3 years of professional experience working with production and development preferably in combination, where you have proof of concrete results.
You have an innovative mindset and have a “go-do” approach
You have a great interest in R&D within optimizing processes based on software and digital industrial machinery
You are motivated by seeing visible results of your work,
You have experience in efficient and streamlined processes
You thrive in a dynamic everyday life where you yourself contribute proactively
You like to solve technical problems and you can work independently, while being a good sparring partner to your colleagues
You are not nervous about helping the production technician being hands-on (e.g. with a screwdriver) if needed
Preferably, you have experience with digital machines, e.g. digital printers and cutting machines and QC equipment/ quality assurance
Improvements to current production processes via innovative initiatives both on the hardware and machine-related software side
Research and determine best choice of technology as well as create specifications for your choices
Sparring with the Head of Operations regarding inline product quality assurance
Implement and optimize the workflows in and around the pilot microfactory with help from both software engineers, automation engineers and operators, such as;
Specify & implement improvements to software automation in collaboration with our Head of Software and Automation Engineer
Specify & implement improvements to hardware/production automation in collaboration with our Head of Operations and Automation Engineer.
