We offer an 8 month program with coaching and funding. From day one, we provide access to an unrivaled set of co-founders, strong ecosystem, network and expertise to support exceptional founders building what will define tomorrow.

What you can expect from Nordic BioVentures:

• Find your co-founder – We connect you to great co-founders and form an amazing team to embark on this journey together with you.

• Validate your idea(s) – Founders go through a thorough problem and idea validation process.

• Get funded from day one - If your team’s idea is selected, we provide funding from day one via an initial stipend, a pre-seed investment and a clear pathway to additional capital via connections to leading investors and VCs.

• Built with biology - We work on life science/biotech ideas that positively impact the world.

• Coaching and mentoring - We provide hands-on support in all different stages of the journey: from ideation to pre-seed investment

• Network - Gain access to an exceptional network of experienced founders and investors.

Start date/location

• Start date: February 11-12th, 2023

• Location: Copenhagen (exact location will be disclosed to participants)

• The cohort runs for 8 months

• We invest €100,000 in the company selected by our investment committee

About you

• You have a strong biotech background with a keen interest in entrepreneurship

• You have M.Sc., PhD or PostDoc level in biology, chemical engineering, biotechnology or related field

• You want to work on bio-sustainable solutions

• You are driven and a self-starter who can motivate yourself and others to join your mission

• You set high goals and have proven to achieve them

• You have the willingness and ability to keep going when you're faced with obstacles

• You want to start your own bioventure

• You have a Danish working permit

• Experience with entrepreneurship is a plus

The program

• Venture Creation Studio (Feb 11/12 ‘23): This weekend you will meet your fellow team members and go through the different stages of the ideation process to define your startup idea. The weekend will be finalized with a pitch session and the three winning teams will continue to the next stage.

  
  

• Building the Business Plan: (One month): You will get one month to make a business proposal, a milestone plan, and formulate a proof-of-concept setup. You will have the opportunity to have regular coaching and sparring sessions with Nordic BioVentures. Based on the business plans the final winner is chosen to be funded by Nordic BioVentures for a seven month period.

  
  

• Proof-of-Concept Level (Seven months): You receive an investment of €100.000 during a 7 month period to develop the proof-of-concept. During this stage you will establish the company, receive a salary and have regular coaching from Nordic BioVentures. At the same time, you will work towards new grants and investments.
