We are now hiring a Director of Sales for our Industry Account team who will be responsible to build and coach a high-performing team of 6 Account Managers able to constantly hit and overachieve targets.
You will report to our VP of Commercial Operations, Mads and your closest peer will be Daniel, our Director of Sales for Strategic Account Team.
The position is full-time and based in Copenhagen.
For our new Director of Sales, we foresee the following responsibilities, but you'll have the opportunity and freedom to influence and define them with us.
Responsible for building the team, hiring Senior Account Managers, Account Managers and Growth Managers.
Ensure increasing high performance of the team, so we achieve weekly and monthly targets.
Coaching the team and running regular team meetings and 1 to 1 sessions.
Ensure people allocation to industries and markets and assign client portfolios in alignment with strategy.
Selecting leads together with Sales Operations based on ICPs and data.
Run the approved Sales Playbook and improve messaging, sequences and processes together with Sales Excellence.
Ensure adherence to SalesPlaybook and adjust if necessary.

We expect you to:
Have experience working with sales in a leadership role in a Scale-up preferable within SaaS in a high velocity sales environment.
Lead by example and take pride in getting your hands dirty. No task is too small for you.
Have a strong toolbox within sales methodologies and enjoying coaching and training others in sales.
Have a good business understanding and strong analytical skills to use in external and internal work.
Have strong experience in KPI-tracking, Pipeline Management and Meddic.
Have a high sense of urgency in all matters and you feel energized by leading and coaching your team to success.
Speak fluently a Scandinavian language.

During the 1st month, you will:
Meet your new colleagues and understand who is doing what.
Get comfortable with the day-to-day operations of the team.
Understand the problems Penneo solves for customers.
Use the product(s) as a customer.

Assess and engage in daily work in the sales team to understand what prospects and customers say.
Within 3 months, you will:
Have closed all the recruitments for your team and will work on the onboarding together with the sales leadership team.
Ensure that your team is hitting their ramp up targets.
Run the daily operations of the team.
Have read “From Impossible to Inevitable”.
Within 6 months, you will:
All team members will be following their onboarding plan and are on track.
Your Sales reps understand the industries they operate in and what value we deliver.
Within 12 months, you will:
The team’s performance is steadily improving and you have built a repeatable outbound sales machine that delivers high ROI.

About our interview process:
We know that going through a recruitment process can be pretty demanding sometimes, so we want you to know what to expect:
Call with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team (~30m): introduction to the company, mutual initial expectation leveling.
Call with our VP of Commercial Operations, Mads(~45m): Getting to know each other, assessing for mutual fit, introduction to the impact and goals for the position.
Collaboration round (~1h): Together with two team members, you will discuss your approach to a problem scenario to assess collaboration fit and ways of working.
The practicalities (~45m): Closing talk with Mads, agreeing about compensation, starting date, and all other practical details.
All of our interviews can be conducted remotely, scheduled via email and Google Meet for audio/video calls if you prefer.
