Torso Electronics is a music hardware start-up dedicated to developing new and innovative instruments for creating and performing electronic music. We are growing and now seeking to expand our team in Copenhagen.
Torso Electronics is looking for a skilled music technologist to join our team working on new digital hardware instruments. In this role, you will be a key contributor to developing new instruments focusing on UX design and feature development. The codebase is C++, but we welcome prototyping in Max/SuperCollider/Pd etc. You will work closely with the rest of the team in a creative work environment.
You are passionate about music & electronics
You have experience developing music apps, digital musical instruments, games, installations, or other types of software with an emphasis on real-time audio and visuals
You have a deep knowledge of the functionality of a wide range of hardware and software instruments, and are up to date with trends and shifts in the music industry
BSc or equivalent in computer science or related audio/sound field
Performing musician
Experience working with embedded systems
Experience with digital signal processing
C++ programming skills

Torso Electronics is a music hardware startup founded in 2018 through a collective passion for electronic music and hardware instruments. In 2021 we launched our first product, T-1, an expressive algorithmic sequencer that goes beyond traditional step sequencing by applying a hyperfluent way of creating musical structures.
Our office is located in central Copenhagen, from which our small team of passionate musicians and engineers is developing our products from start to finish.
