For our head office in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Financial Accountant to come join our Finance Team! You will be an essential team member working with the COO and fractional CFO to build and develop an in-house accounting and finance team. We are currently using an out-sourced accounting resource and plan to move the accounting function in-house over the coming months.
Harba is expanding to Europe and the USA, you will also be a key member of the internationalization.
Professional Experience and Qualifications
Basic accounting knowledge, ideally in the SaaS software industry and/or e-commerce industry
Understanding of industry benchmarks and accounting best practices
Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
Prior experience with some or all of the following finance tools: E-conomic (ERP and billing), Corpay (AP), Zenegy (payroll), Pleo cards, standard MS Office and/or Google Suite tools
Practical hands-on knowledge of Denmark accounting compliance: tax, VAT, payroll-HR compliance
Some basic knowledge of CRM systems (Hubspot is ideal). Working side-by-side with operations and customer success teams
Developing standards, processes and internal controls. Always working toward greater automation and efficiency improvements with a mentality of continuous improvement
International experience a plus, particularly with USA

Can thrive in the ambiguous environment of an entrepreneurial start-up (but will be under the guidance of an experienced CFO)
Very organized with the ability to prepare for audits and due diligence

You are proactive and enjoy taking responsibility
You are fluent in English and Danish (both written and verbal skills)

What you will be doing:
Understand the current finance set-up and leading the transition away from current outsourced accounting provider
Monthly Danish payroll
Accounts payable, credit cards (Pleo) and banking
Billing customers monthly (with view to automate this process) and revenue recognition
Understanding the e-commerce payment cash flows and facilitating marina payouts
Closing the general ledger books monthly including balance sheet reconciliations
Ideate, co-create and support the team with process and operations improvements.
