We are a deeptech start-up, named PerPlant, who is on a mission to help farmers transition into sustainable agriculture by use of AI & sensor technology.
We are building a start-up that uses camera sensors, computer vision, and AI on the edge to help farmers monitor their fields, including pest pressure and biomass levels. This allows farmers to gain insight on where to spray and how much spraying of chemicals (pesticide and fertilizers) is precisely needed, which reduces their cost for chemicals and the negative impact that chemicals have on the environment, human health, biodiversity, and climate.

You will be an integrated and crucial part of our development team perception software, working closely with electronics and mechanical engineers in our team. This includes taking part in and impacting our day-to-day agile and scrum-inspired development roadmap.
We are looking for someone who:
3+ years of working experience in Computer Vision targeted to product development.
Strong knowledge of Python programming
Strong knowledge of C/C++ (programming and debugging)
Experience working with OpenCV and Classical computer vision such as clustering, image enhancement techniques etc.
Experience with 3D reconstruction using images.
Experience working with ROS2 and VSLAM, using IMU Fusion, etc.
Experience in Deep Learning with knowledge of at least one of PyTorch or TensorFlow
Knowledge of parallel computing, OpenCL, CUDA, and GPGPU is a plus
Knowledge of software optimization and embedded programming is a plus
Tasks you’ll be involved in:
Design and implement algorithms for online and offline intrinsic and extrinsic calibration of complex devices composed of several sensors, cameras, IMUs, etc.
Develop (C++, Cuda) efficient algorithms to segment plants in the image plane, localize them in 3D space using geometric projection or VSLAM, track and store them in databases for real-time operations.
Real-time Incremental Image Mosaicing based on Monocular SLAM.
3D reconstruction of crop canopies or plants for height and width estimation.
Computer vision algorithms on device: Research, architect, and implement high-performance computer vision software on device with state-of-the-art capabilities.
