Templafy is looking for a Data Protection Manager to take over core responsibilities of the Privacy division while the Head of Privacy is on parental leave, starting November 2022. The position is vacant from 1 November 2022 for a fixed term of 12 months. There may be possibilities for extending to a permanent position.
You will be an essential part of the Privacy division, which continuously ensures that both the company and the Templafy platform are enterprise grade in terms of privacy. You will be working independently, whilst reporting to the Head of Privacy. However, you will be part of the Information Security department who focuses on encouraging a collaborative and team-oriented environment to ensure all its members get the support they need to achieve their goals. You will also work closely with our Legal, Procurement and Sales teams.
Responsibilities
Identify and monitor relevant data protection and privacy laws, trends, changes and analyze their relevance to the company. Design, implement and monitor controls needed for privacy compliance.
Work directly with all business units to facilitate company-wide privacy compliance and mitigation of privacy risks in the company’s processes and projects.
Analyze privacy risk and compliance in the context of Templafy using GDPR methodology, including data protection impact assessments, transfer impact assessments, legal basis assessments, legitimate interest assessments, compatibility tests, necessity tests and proportionality tests.
Enable customer-facing teams by handling privacy related queries from customers and prospects, including reviews of data processing agreements, submitting privacy questionnaires and attending meetings.
Facilitate procurement and partnerships with third party due diligence and data processing agreements.
Handle queries or complaints by the company, customers, data controllers, data subjects or other parties on request.
Lead data breach preparedness, including thorough incident analysis, timely response and reporting commitments.
Cooperate with local authorities.
Carry out internal and external communication about privacy values. Drive privacy awareness training among all employees.
Report on privacy compliance; give advice and recommendations to senior management about interpretation or application of data protection requirements.
Requirements
BSc/MSc degree in law, policy, IT or related field. Equivalent professional training may be accepted.
4-6 years’ experience in a data protection role or a qualified lawyer specialized in data protection. Privacy qualifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM are an advantage but are not required.
Demonstrable experience with GDPR. Solid understanding of core elements of other data protection regulation.
Analytical mindset, capable of researching and analyzing information from multiple sources in the context of the company and the Templafy platform.
Strong sense of responsibility, autonomy and ability to facilitate self-initiative. Have sound, practical, independent and ethical judgement.
Understanding of IT infrastructure, information security concepts, with SaaS knowledge as a plus.
Great written and verbal communication skills in English.
