In the Siteimprove Legal team, we are looking for a new team member to join our team of 6 compliance enthusiasts based in the USA; UK, and Denmark.
You will be joining as a Corporate Counsel based out of our wonderful headquarter located in the heart of Copenhagen. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, a substantial part of your time will be spent on working with Data Privacy compliance, both internally and externally. You will be responsible for keeping both Siteimprove, our Partners, and our services compliant with global privacy laws, handling various customer requests/negotiations, and training our employees globally. Essential functions within this role furthermore include:
Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial agreements, including DPAs, with our customers, partners as well as vendors.
Ensuring corporate governance and compliance for our +15 subsidiaries.
Identifying business risks and devising practical, business-oriented solutions to mitigate such risks.
Managing cross-departmental compliance projects and coordinating with key stakeholders from across the organization (e.g., Finance, Customer Support, Marketing, and IT).
M&A activities.
+2 years of relevant working experience from either a law firm or as in-house counsel in Europe.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Master's degree within Law (Cand.jur, Cand.merc.jur or equivalent).
Strong collaboration skills and easily form relations in a multicultural environment.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile working environment with quick turnaround times.
Previous experience in a SaaS company and a strong commercial understanding.
You are an optimist with a can-do attitude and a pragmatic solution-based approach to the ever-changing palette of daily tasks is highly appreciated.
Proficiency with German and/or Dutch.
Interested in and comfortable with technical discussions of software and technology.
