Senior 3D Environment Artist

Salary Competitive

We are busy finishing our sci-fi puzzle adventure COCOON, releasing in 2023 on major consoles and Steam. Published by Annapurna Interactive.

We are looking for a full-time Senior 3D artist to join our team in Copenhagen, starting as soon as possible. You will be part of a team concepting, designing and modeling 3D environment art for our top-down perspective game in collaboration with our art director and our game designer.

Working as a Senior 3D artist you will be modeling assets and geometry that fits the refined, stylized art style of the game. Our use of textures is very minimal; As such we are looking for someone who has excellent modeling skills and who revels in creating clean compelling shapes with few polygons.

You should also feel comfortable bringing your talents to most levels of the design process and working from pre-existing designs as well as coming up with new ones. There will be a strong focus on iteration and making the art elevate the puzzle designs.

A lot of the inspiration for the look of the game is heavily influenced by fine art painting, architecture, biology, sculpture, photography & film, modern graphic design, and classic sci-fi. We are hoping to find someone who embraces these other fields to see beyond videogame tropes.

  • Released at least 1 game working as an environment artist and/or have 4+ years of experience in the games industry working as one

  • Experienced in concepting environments, level design, architecture, machines/objects

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic about your work

  • Proven experience working within a refined minimalist style with an emphasis on modeling geometry

  • Have a holistic mindset and an eye for detail

  • Draws inspiration from a broad field of art disciplines, not only games

  • Experience with Unity is a big plus, as we expect you are able to assess your work within the engine throughout your design process

  • We strongly favor candidates who can work on-location in our Copenhagen office.

  • Experience with working in Cinema 4D and/or Maya is a big plus

Working remotely is an option, but we highly prefer that you can work on location at our office in Copenhagen.

If you feel the above fits your profile please apply by sending us an application. Please include your CV and a link or reference to your portfolio showcasing 3D environment art and some examples of how you approach concepting.
