We are a small team of independent project coordinators and freelancers that work together to tackle food waste in Copenhagen. Alongside the team leaders, we have built a community of over 200 volunteers, from a variety of backgrounds. We are a reflection of our community, and we are a place for meaningful career transformation and skills development.
Our community is diverse, proactive, empathic & practical, and constantly growing, which is why are now at a point where we need to secure funding to help with our growth and achieve our mission of saving and preventing food waste & providing nutrition to underprivileged citizens.
Working with us will allow you to develop interpersonal skills, communication, organizational & management skills, and it will help you gain knowledge and expertise in the field of sustainability & food waste.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Freelance Grant Application Writer.
If you are ambitious, organized, detail oriented, kind, and love to make a real difference in peoples’ lives, then this may be the perfect role for you. We need:
Proactiveness in finding and securing funds for the project.
Ability to identify relevant and achievable grants for the project, both at a national and international level (local, municipal, EU, etc).
Ability to engage with the community to fully understand our values and goals.
Authoring complex, detailed and well-structured grant applications.
Identifying and building relationships with experts and research organizations to create high quality applications.
Ability to liaise with suitable industrial, academic and research partners to gather information for submission of research proposals.
Ensuring proposals are prepared, evaluated and submitted to the required standard and deadlines.
Ability to multi-task.
People's skills: be an asset for the community.
Excellent English and Danish language and communication skills.
The role is ideally full-time, but it can also be structured as part-time, so long as the grant applications are written and submitted in time. The duration of the job is 2 months (flexible, can be discussed further), and the compensation is offered curtesy of Kubbco, who generously offered financial help in securing this much needed help in our mission.
