UDU is an innovative tech and gaming start-up, on a mission to help kids and families be more physically active and have more fun. We dream of a future where gaming moves off the couch and into the world, where mobile games keep kids and families active and engaged - outdoors. That’s why we’ve developed the UDU Console - the world's first console for mobile gaming. 

Who is UDU

With a vision to make kids' and families lives better through active gaming, UDU was founded by the two Danish entrepreneurs Asbjørn H. Christensen and Christoffer B. Christensen.

Today the UDU-team consists of 9 talented people from all over the world. Our Game Developers, Designers, Engineers, and Business experts come from the US, Ireland, France, Iceland, and Denmark. Furthermore, we are working with some of the world’s leading partners in product development and production to make sure that everything lives up to our extremely high-quality standards. Together we’re making a new, healthier, more exciting mobile gaming experience for kids and families.

In 2022, UDU is expanding. We’ve received the funding we need to begin prepping our console for mass production, we are already building the console’s interactive games, and preparing for a huge crowdfunding product launch this year. As the product grows, so do we.  

The UDU Console

The UDU Console is changing the way we game, combining elements of physical and digital play to create brand-new, immersive experiences. 

The Console uses cutting edge technology to create unique and captivating digital interactions with your physical surroundings:

• Machine learning algorithms track and recognize movements, gestures, and touches,

• Advanced haptics provide life-like vibration feedback, using custom-designed audio files to imitate physical touch,

• LED and visual displays create color, light, and graphic feedback, and

• Deep click squeeze and trigger buttons control the Console and in-app gameplay.

By pairing a console with a mobile phone, UDU is reinventing the way we play, see, and feel games. Not to mention where we play them!

We will be responding to all applications latest 2nd of September and 16th of September and if necessary on the 30th of September as the post ends. We are also possibly looking for more than one intern, depending on factors beyond the job post. Interviews will be arranged, and any questions will be answered as quick as possible through the email correspondence after the respons.

The Job 

UDU is looking for a skilled Game Design Intern who’s interested in joining the UDU team. 

As a Game Design Intern at UDU, you will be designing epic new games and experiences for the UDU Console that promotes fun, active and immersive gameplay.

Your main responsibilities will be:  

• Ideate and design active and creative game experiences for the UDU console.

• Write, design and execute player tests to validate your design decisions. 

• Take charge of the design of smaller games

• Do feasibility analysis and keep in touch with the development team to make sure the game is within our scope

• Communicating with the development team, Design team and other stakeholders.

• Document design decisions and communicate this documentation with the development team.

You 

We are looking for someone who:

• Is living in or around Copenhagen

• Is a game design student, has worked with digital game design or have hobby/personal experience with designing games.

• Has experience with designing for games

• Communicates effectively and enjoys working as a part of a team

• Is excited to hit the ground running

If you are on A kasse or only interested for a couple of months are we starting a 2 month game project somewhere in September or October
