Valuer is helping innovators and investors globally identify trends, opportunities, and the startups leading the way. We’re creating tools using AI and machine learning to uncover and give perspective on the unknown unknowns of innovation to help our clients stay ahead of the competition and have a positive impact on the world.

Our data science and engineering team is looking for an intern, preferably credited, that can take on a project for explorative data analysis. The right candidate will receive a project brief, support, and guidance to solve a problem related to data science and analytics, which, if solved, will be implemented into Valuer's infrastructure and contribute to the performance of our product!

The project and focus will involve:

• Explorative analysis of our database of companies and patents to identify and label the data based on technologies and industries. Additionally, work to map and connect our different data entries based on similarity, connecting and tagging our companies, technologies, industries, and patents based on association

  • Use data analytics and Machine learning techniques to improve the data structure and quality of the labeling of our data feature

    • The goal is to rework the categorization of our entries and provide a foundation for an improved/new product

       

Your Profile:

• You are a student with a technical degree, working with data science, analytics, data processing, machine learning, or similar fields

• You are able to use python for data science and analytics and have experience with working with large data sets, including text.

• It will be a bonus if you have a technical understanding and are interested in technologies, innovation, and business models, but this is not a must

• You are looking for an opportunity to work with real-world data in a company and with a team that sees the opportunity and potential in data-driven applications.
