We are looking for an ambitious UI/UX designer intern who will support us in developing UI components and technical product development for our customer-facing platform.

We invite creative students who aspire to create high-quality user experiences through great design, and who are eager to learn how to go from high-fidelity components to actual product deliverables.

We offer responsibility and learning from a fast moving environment, where you will work closely with our experienced lead frontend developer and the founders. You will gain a lot of experience in the start-up space, and gain insight in how to operate with constantly changing requirements.

Who is Exur and what do we do?

Exur is a young Copenhagen-based company in the InsurTech space founded in 2021. We are currently working towards validating our platform solution with potential clients. Our team consists of highly skilled individuals with academic backgrounds in finance, maths and software development, and professional backgrounds from IT management consulting and insurance. We are a young team with an age range from 24 to 33 with big ambitions of revolutionising the insurance industry. 

We are using modern technologies to build an automated distribution platform for buying and managing business insurances. We work within current trends in Open Insurance, Data Science and our technology stack is modern, which enables us to move and adapt fast. We are on a start-up journey with a lot of traction and high expectations. We work using agile methods using modern tools such as ClickUp, Figma, GitHub, Vercel, DigitalOcean, and we continuously expand our toolkit as we grow.

What we provide

If you are a person who is creative and who is not afraid of trying things out, this will be a great environment for you. You will get exposed to many different parts of our company and have many opportunities to learn from our founders and developers. By the end of the period, you will have a deeper understanding of designing a product from ideation to understanding user requirements to finalising the implementation. We expect you to use critical thinking towards solving technical and non-technical problems. You will have the possibility to influence the product to a large degree if you wish to do so.

You will work from our office space in Porcelænshaven close to Frederiksberg Have. We will provide you a desk space and a laptop if you prefer not to use your own. At our offices we provide free lunch and snacks, decent coffee, and lots of jokes.

What does it take to succeed in the role as a UX intern?

• Taking partial ownership of our design files and component libraries.

• Work independently developing prototypes and mockups in Figma together with our lead frontend developer.

• Participating actively in workshops with users to conduct research and develop requirements for new features together with our Product Lead.

• Challenge others (and be challenged) by giving and receiving feedback.

• Help with organising and participating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and workshops towards building new product features.

  
  

What we expect from you

You don’t need to know anything about insurance or fintech, but be prepared for a lot of conversations within your craft - we believe that we can learn from you too.

You are able to work autonomously but are also prepared to be part of an innovative environment in our small office in Frederiksberg.

You speak either Danish or English on a professional level. You will work 37 hours a week with flexible hours - we are not at all strict with when you show up in the morning or when you want to leave and remote work is definitely also possible.
