Tiimo is the world's first daily planning app designed to be inclusive and helpful across neurodiversity, including for Autistic people and/or those with ADHD. We offer a customizable, playful, and highly visual way of planning your daily life, reducing stress, and achieving personal goals - designed to support focus, time management and task initiation in a highly visual and customizable way. Tiimo helps people manage everyday life and improve their wellbeing. Our purpose is to make life less chaotic and the world more neuroinclusive.

In the last 24 months we have achieved some amazing milestones:

• We have grown from 1,000 to 44,000 paying subscribers worldwide

• We have grown from 5000 to 65,000 downloads/month.

• We have won awards and are constantly featured globally in the App Store, and have been named “One to Watch” globally by Apple, and named “App of the Day” in Europe.

• Our website and blog drives +30,000 visitors every single month.

• We have recently been accepted into the highest tier of the Microsoft for Startups program, which among others includes 150.000 USD free Azure credits

With fresh funding from world-class consumer tech/app investors in the Nordics and Silicon Valley, we are now ready to set new ambitious goals. We need to double our team and triple our business over the next 18 months.

As our CTO, you need to be an excellent and hands-on backend developer and a team player. We need you to manage our backend, guide us in terms of data security and hold the overall responsibility for our Tech. We are not concerned if you do not have people management experience. People is our strength and this capability can be developed.

As for our products, we are building everything in-house, beginning with a design from our Product Designer. You will be leading our tech development team, which currently consists of two full-time developers for Android and iOS and two part-time iOS developers. We will be growing our Tech team to six full time developers and three part-time developers by end of the year, and you of course will have the main decision-making power and influence regarding the team’s structure, upstaffing and well-being.

In this role, you will...

• Be overall responsible for Tiimo Tech.

• Be responsible for creating, maintaining, and running the Tiimo backend. Develop and maintain API’s. Make sure that our systems are stable and scalable.

• Decide on the right technological path for Tiimo. Make sure that our platform can support the plans on the roadmap, in terms of business, user, and development needs.

• Ensure quality of what is developed.

• Be security responsible. Ensure that our data handling remains compliant and that our users’ data is safe.

  
  

You will be a great fit if...

• You have existing startup experience. We imagine that you have 5+ years of work experience, ideally including scaling another startup. Ideally in the role of CTO or with tech lead responsibility.

• You have strong backend competencies. Ideally within .NET / C#.

• You have security at the front of your mind.

• You’re an empathetic communicator and people motivator. Building great software requires great communication and compassion.

• You’re purpose passionate. At Tiimo we are passionate about making a difference for an underserved neurodiverse community and hope that you share this passion with us.

• You thrive in an international environment. We are a team from many different nationalities. English is our working language. Diversity, equality and inclusion are important to us. You must have the right to work within the EU, sadly we will not be able to support applicants in gaining a work permit.

• Additional “nice to have” experience includes.

  • Experience with frontend development.

  • Experience with CI/CD Pipelines

  • Experience with Unit/Integration tests

Our stack…

• .NET 6 for our backend. Written in C# and hosted on Azure. Maintenance functions are written using Azure Functions.

• MS SQL server for our database. Hosted in Azure.

• Native apps. For iOS, written in Swift, where we are transitioning into writing UI in SwiftUI. For Android, written in Kotlin. Firebase for crash reporting.

• Gatsby + React for our website. Additionally, we have a web portal written in Angular, which has a rewrite in the pipeline.

• Modern work tools. Linear for issue tracking, Azure DevOps as source control, Sentry and Firebase for error reporting, Mixpanel for analytics, Slack for internal communication, Figma for design, and Notion as a knowledge base. Your choice of Mac or Windows hardware.
