GoGift is looking for a Global Legal Manager

GoGift, a part of Nordisk Film and Egmont, is an exciting market leading gifting company in the Nordics with global ambitions. To elevate our position in the Nordics and support our international growth, we are looking for a Legal Manager to ensure we in every aspect adhere to legal standards, security measures and GDPR regulations in the increasingly regulated world of digital gifting. 


About the job

You will report to the CEO with a dotted line to Egmont's VP Corporate Legal. You will act as an in-house legal and process manager and it is a prerequisite that you are able to work from the office in Valby, Copenhagen. You will mainly be responsible for: (i) ensuring compliance with applicable legislation such as payment service regulation, Anti-Money Laundering Act including EU-regulations and directives on these matters, (ii) assisting your commercial colleagues at GoGift in negotiating commercial contracts with business partners and customers, as well as (iii) provide guidance on compliance on GDPR matters. In addition to the regulative aspects, you will also play a key role in improving processes across GoGift.


Responsibilities

  • Helping in developing and overseeing control processes.

  • Assisting in setting up and evaluating controls and improving them continuously.

  • Act as point of contact with the management, supervisory authorities and internal teams.

  • Assessing and assisting the business’s future ventures by providing legal assistance in these matters.

  • Preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies when necessary.

  • Performing internal controls and audits and determining whether we need to alter our procedures to comply with applicable law and market standards together with management.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a compliance manager, legal manager, lawyer or similar.

  • MSc in Law, Master of Science (MSc) in Business Administration and Commercial Law or similar.

  • In-depth knowledge of the payment service industry and/or gift card industry.

  • Some knowledge of GDPR as well as a motivation to learn further and engage in such matters.

  • Experience and solid knowledge of corporate law.

  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.

  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.

  • Experience with risk management and process description.

  • A high level of business English and a global mindset.
