As our new Backend Engineer, you will be working in a product team of highly skilled and dedicated people to deliver solutions and services to our enterprise customers. In collaboration with the rest of the Engineering team, you will set the direction for our architecture and the way we build, run and deploy our services and APIs.

In this role, you will be 

• Designing and planning architecture to build stable and scalable software.

• Developing high-level system design and low-level technical design.

• Contribute to product discovery in the team to identify feasible, high-impact solutions to the team objectives.

• Helping prioritize engineering projects against business targets and evaluate what can be executed with the available resources.

• Developing backend application code for our platform and products.

• Working with DevOps team members to ensure continued stability and performance.

• Initiating, implementing, and developing creative and innovative engineering processes and practices.

• Exploring and evaluating new technologies and solutions to push capabilities forward.

• Documenting processes and practices you establish.

• Adding value to our existing customers’ experience by continuously creating new features. 

• Ensuring the maintenance of our product. 

Requirements

• JavaScript and database experience, 2+ years

• Deep understanding of the full stack of technologies used in a web application.

• Good understanding of DevOps, QA, and test automation.

• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.

• Experience with cloud infrastructure, containers, and orchestration.

• 2+ years of relevant experience

• You

  • Like to take ownership of your work and when you provide input and feedback; it's constructive, positive, and aimed at productively resolving challenges.

It is an advantage if you have 

• Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, Elastic, GitLab, and a range of AWS services.

• Node.js experience.

• Open-minded attitude towards working with the front end.
