We are building a start-up that uses multispectral camera sensors, computer vision and AI  on the edge to help farmers monitor their fields, including pest pressure and biomass levels. This allow farmers to gain insight on where to spray and how much spraying of chemicals (pesticide and fertilizers) is precisely needed, which reduce their cost for chemicals and the negative impact that chemicals have on the environment, human health, biodiversity and climate.

As a system software developer you will help us build the first version of the prototype in cooperation with farmers and industry partners. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the software on a Linux-based system and you will have an opportunity to implement a full prototype system, in collaboration with engineers within various fields, and work with customers to iteratively deploy, test and improve the system.

Qualifications and experience:

• Degree in Robotics, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with CNNs and Deep Learning

• Proficiency in C++ and Python

• Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS)

• Experience with deploying software on Linux-based systems

• Strong English written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with Git

Nice to have:

• Experience with maintaining software through unit tests and Continuous Integration (CI)

• Exposure to agile development and SCRUM

• Exposure to sensors and edge computing
