BrainCapture has won an EIC Accelerator Award, a prestigious EU program that supports the most innovative and relevant technology startups on the continent. The EIC program funds BrainCapture’s development for the next 2 years, including a significant testing and validation program to prove BC’s technology to the market.
For this reason, we seek an experienced, motivated, and inspired scientific coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for BrainCapture’s scientific and medical strategy.
We currently have a strong foundation in engineering and data science. Our ambition is to utilize our grant funding to build an equally strong foundational element in the medical field. We want to create a virtuous cycle of technological development paired with feedback from testing by medical practitioners all over the world. A strong candidate will have the capacity to own and execute this vision, and will work well with a multidisciplinary and multinational team who are motivated by BrainCapture’s mission and its potential to democratize access to the EEG diagnostic.
The first task of a successful candidate will be to coordinate BrainCapture’s first large-scale study with a new device. This study will take place in Kenya and will build on previous published work by BC’s founders. Day to day operations will be subcontracted, but BC will provide significant input in the form of study design, protocols, training, and other materials. The study aims to validate that non-expert users of BC’s device can take EEG scans that are comparable to those taken by trained EEG technicians using traditional devices.
This is an exciting role with significant potential for growth. BrainCapture is still small, but has demonstrated its ability to attract funding (>2.5M Euro in the past 6 months) and develop its concept. This position may grow to Chief Medical Officer once BrainCapture has launched its product.
