Scicular is a young company on a mission to radically change the environmental impact of how we eat. We develop cutting edge microbial solutions that allows us to transform side-streams into delicious and nutritious food, at a global scale. We are launching our first products by summer in Denmark and this is only where our ambitions begin. We are planning to develop a feast of upcycled products with different local side-streams.

We are building up our pilot plant in Nordhavn, Copenhagen and we are looking for a food engineer to help us bring sustainable food experiences to our customers.

The job includes:

• Leading our process development and machinery acquisition from farm to gate

• Develop our full scalefull-scale production model

• Help optimize and digitalisedigitalize our production in close collaboration with our Head of technology

• Build up and lead full supply chain team incl. QEHS, production and logistics

• Collaborate closely with our R&D team of top chefs and scientists and the commercial team to take new products to market and support new sales

Qualifications:

• MSc degree in food or chemical engineering or equivalent and minimum 5 years of practical food industry experience

• Experience in microbiology and fermentation is a major plus

• Case-experience or completed courses in sustainable production line optimization

• Appetite Experience in microbiology and fermentation is a major plus

• Willingness to work in a dynamic start-up environment

• Good team working and problem-solving skills
