Make impact in the medical world
Join our ambitious team as flutter developer to radically improve how patients are monitored in the hospital. Our monitoring solution driven by AI is currently in trials in two different hospitals in Denmark and are at the verge of scaling up our solution towards other hospitals and countries.
We are a Copenhagen-based MedTech startup on a mission to help nurses and doctors keep an eye on patients, help patients feel safe – and help hospitals optimise scarce resources. To do so, we have developed an AI based clinical support system to use on generic wards within hospitals. This is an application that lives in the pocket of health care professionals that interprets vital sign data to detect patient deterioration.
Based on a grant from the Innovation Fund Denmark, we have developed the initial version of our system which is currently in clinical validation during randomised clinical trials. We are in the final development stage of the version for commercialisation which will be CE-marked and FDA-approved clinical support system that we plan to launch in early 2023.
It is very exciting time to join our company now because we are improving the application based on current clinical trials and we are making it ready for the commercial world (intelligence, scalability, performance, security). Our long term goals are to continuously improve how patients are monitored. We are still a relatively small development team (4 people) so you will make a huge impact with corresponding responsibility.
You will work on both front-end applications of our clinical support system:
Mobile app: the app for health care professional to monitor patients and receive notifications when a patient deteriorates (alarms)
Web app: administrative web-based app
The main challenge for the upcoming period is to stabilise and improve (based on current clinical trials) the apps for use in a commercial setting. Besides that we continuously improve our apps to enhance the user experience and adoption of our system in the wards.
Both apps are written in flutter. For both components there are automated pipelines to test and build the application automatically using Azure DevOps Pipelines.
Our product will be software as a medical device and therefore regulatory oversight, controlled processes and certification are a requirement. You will become part of our current established development procedures which fulfil the requirements of the authorities. We do continuously seek to optimise compliance activities for efficiency.
You’re a flutter developer who has previously developed both mobile and web based apps. You have the user in mind when developing the apps and focus on usability and stability. Also you know how to ensure stability by adding automated tests to verify the functionality within the applications. You know how to work with REST APIs to make requests and WebSockets to handle real-time data handling (visualisation). Also you make sure our users receive notifications when they need to.
We value that you are a pragmatic problem solver, are pro-active in your communication, have a professional way of working and have an open and transparant attitude within our team. It is a big plus if you have previously worked in a regulated (preferably medical) environment.
Our current tech stack includes:
GoLang (API)
C# and .net (Data Pipelines)
Flutter (Mobile and Web App)
Redis, MySQL, MongoDB
Docker, Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines
We are an open agile organisation having high level of freedom and responsibility to make a difference for patients. Your opinion is important and valued for all aspects within the company, not only on the technical parts.
Our main working place is our office at the Health Tech Hub or remote, but we also work in close contact with the hospitals in Copenhagen. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, PhD’s, managers and other developers. We all share the same ambition to continuously improve real-time monitoring of patients.
