In Linkfire we believe in empowering independent cross-functional teams. To empower and enable ownership in the teams we focus on standardization, modularisation and guardrails to ensure self-serviced developers from a Cloud operations point of view.

We do this by fostering a DevOps culture between our CloudOps Engineers and developers in the teams by helping them build their own infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

DevOps and Site Reliability is a shared responsibility. High availability and Security Operations are key elements of software development and not an afterthought.

We are looking for a passionate and senior CloudOps Engineer, who can foster and mature our Infrastructure, our collaboration across development teams, and facilitate the implementation of our Internal Development Platform.


Our key operational principles include:

  • Infrastructure as Code belongs with the applications within development teams.

  • CloudOps Team facilitates standards, re-usability and tooling.

  • Serverless First, Containers as a minimum.

  • Segregation of workloads according to value streams and Development life-cycle.

  • Only build or management environments can access production infrastructure.

  • If you touch it you fix it (Legacy systems must be updated ongoingly)


Cool things we work with:

  • AWS only, we do have some legacy on Azure we are trying to get rid of ;)

  • Haproxy - Cross-regional high availability active-active configurations.

  • ArgoCD - in conjunction with GitOps methodologies and Github Actions.

  • Security Observability incl. SonarCloud and Lacework


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly knowledgeable on Cloud environments and technologies (like AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Highly knowledgeable in application containerization and orchestration frameworks (like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS).

  • Highly knowledgeable in CI/CD best practices and tools (such as GitOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, ArgoCD).

  • Highly knowledgeable in observability and monitoring best practices and technologies (such as Elastic APM, Prometheus, Loki, ELK stack).
