BACKGROUND
BLAST is a global esports media network delivering world-class entertainment experiences. This began in Counter-Strike, BLAST owns and operates BLAST Premier, expanding to a variety of popular games through a new major, rapidly growing part of the business, Development, where BLAST expands its offering into multiple games and IPs (case studies below).
THE ROLE
We are looking for a fantastic project manager, in Copenhagen or London, to help ensure the success of BLAST’s continued growth. BLAST is working on an exciting, new major project with Epic Games, creating and delivering the FNCS competition. Having already completed Season 1, this individual will manage the project processes, deadline management, budget tracking, and internal/external communications for the following Seasons and upon completion of FNCS will continue with future similar projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the overall project tracker, so individuals and departments can easily see their deadlines and contribution to the overall project
Support individuals and departments in their workflows to make things efficient and smooth
Think strategically about the goals and purpose of the project to make decisions, and support others in making decisions, to best reach that goal
Manage the project, track progress, risk, and gaps as well as develop the project plan in Smartsheet
Track overall budget and work with all internal stakeholders ensuring efficient budget management is applied throughout the entire project.
Set up relevant internal and external calls with agendas, minutes, and action items
Be proactive and solution-focused - Identifying risks and gaps and mitigating with clear actions and ownership. The right candidate will be very hands-on and an active part of the delivery team. Bring positive energy and attitude toward the tasks and feel part of the incredible end result of FNCS across live show, content, graphics, etc.
Make suggestions and contributions to overall project processes and suggestions on improvements.
Passion for high standards in processes and the end result, preferably with enthusiasm and interest in gaming and esports.
EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of project management across complex projects with some form of live/production output
Project management of significant esports productions is preferred but not essential
PROFILE & DETAILS
A collaborative individual who can work productively with colleagues across departments (product, operations, content, broadcast, etc.)
Highly organized and structured and applying this approach towards own deliverables as well as the project.
Based in either of BLAST’s London or Copenhagen offices.
