Bike loving embedded software developer

Salary Competitive

The e-bike market is exploding. And is turning a big part of the transport sector green for real. Let us take e-bikes to the next level. There is so much that can be improved and we have a key patent-pending technology to dramatically improve the ride feeling and safety of e-bikes. As an embedded software developer, you can be part of this.

We are looking for an embedded software engineering student. Having pioneered several innovations in bike power meter technology, we have pivoted to e-bike torque/cadence sensor technology and are seeing lots of demand. This means fast growth. If you want to be part of this, you should get on board now.

In this role, you will be designing software and algorithms to control the e-bikes of tomorrow. Smoother riding, better battery life, and safer to use. All based on innovative patent-pending technology with everything being developed from the ground up.

Apply if you are good at

  • Structured embedded C design, implementation, test, and documentation on microcontrollers

  • Understanding electronics (both analog and digital)

There will be plenty of opportunities to learn new things with this job as well, and it is important that you can hit the ground running.

Language

English is required. Danish is a plus.

We are looking for someone who

  • Works structured and is detail-oriented

  • Has a positive attitude

  • Is dependable and gets things done

  • Self-motivated and ambitious

It is a plus if you have experience with ARM processors, Microchip processors, CAN bus, I2C, SPI, and is familiar with standard electronics lab equipment.

Life in a startup is different and many things can happen. The plan is clear, but the path may not be straight and we all need to have an open attitude towards this reality. We always keep transparent communication and expect you to do the same.

Some practical information

  • The office is in the SYMBION office park on Østerbro

  • Facilities as per the icons below

  • As a small startup, we can be very flexible on most parameters as long as we keep focusing on creating real results

You will be working at Sensitivus Gauge, which is a technology company. Our brand "Team ZWATT" may be better known, but is mostly inactive today and focused on sports sector end-user products.

At Symbion, we are part of a vibrant network of 450+ small companies. You will have some of the best networking opportunities in Copenhagen with the free Friday bars, community events, several locations, coworking areas, fitness facilities, great coffee, a healthy canteen, lots of inspiring people, and innovative companies. A really great place to expand your professional and personal network.

You want a student job?

  • We expect 2 full days or one full day and two half-days per week as a minimum

  • Full flexibility to work when it fits into your studies. No need to work during exams etc.

  • You can work more during breaks if you want, but no obligations

Above all we want you to keep the studies as your number one priority and the student job as number two.

You are in Danish "A-kasse"?

You may qualify for a 4-week internship (which we can usually extend into another 4-week internship for a total of 8 weeks). This can be followed by a period of "løntilskud" and lead to a full-time position. Please only apply if you actually want to go all the way.

You just arrived in Denmark?

If you are already in Denmark and just starting to build a network, this is the right place to be. With 450 small companies as neighbors, it is hard to find a better place to build your personal and professional network in Copenhagen.

You want an internship (Erasmus etc.)?

We welcome foreign students in exchange programs. We help you get settled and find the right area of the city to live in. For this role, it is important that you have at least 5-6 months here and that you have completed your B.Sc. Not to scare you off, but be aware that Copenhagen is a very expensive and nice city.

Apply

Simply send a CV and a short note explaining why this would be fun for you and what cool projects you have done so far. Notice: This is important. We need to see some details about at least one embedded software project you have done outside of the university. There is no set deadline and we normally process applications within a week or two.
