The cinema pre-show hasn’t changed for years. We’re on a mission to reinvent the cinema pre-show, making it fun, interactive and engaging for the audience in the process.

Our Digital Cinema Hub is the vehicle: it empowers cinemas and advertisers by letting them deliver everything from real-time gaming experiences and interactive ads to personal “I love you cards” right up there on the big screen.

By joining Cinemataztic you’ll be part of a talented team of software developers, media professionals and creatives on a mission to make cinema experience relevant to GenZs through gamification, interactivity and user generated content.

What you’ll do

• Design implement and iteratively improve new and existing backend services

• Implement new features on our web-based cinema management frontend and maintain the existing system

• Help make the right tech decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Participate in API design and implementation for both internal and external APIs

  
  

You’ll be great for this role if you

• Have a strong understanding of JavaScript (ES6+), node.js, react

• Have working experience with mongodb and perhaps SQL databases

• Have a solid understanding of RESTful APIs - building them as well as consuming

• Feel comfortable taking the lead as well as working independently on new features - all the way from idea to deployment (together with other developers and QA)

• Have 3+ years professional experience

Even more awesome if you

• Have experience with Docker, Kubernetes (and perhaps Istio)

• Have experience with electron.js

• Can work in other languages: C#, Go or Python

• Are familiar with microservice patterns - perhaps Kafka too

• Know your way around Linux-based systems and love bash, zsh and the wonders of the command line

Long shot

Many of our systems and much of our client hardware/software integrate with cinema automation systems. If you have experience with DCPs, audio formats or A/V systems in general we would love to get in touch too.

What does the recruitment process look like?

• About a half an hour introductory call: you’ll learn about Cinemataztic as a company and employer and we’ll learn about your expectations.

• Technical coding task: we will send you a technical task to solve

• Technical interview: you’ll present how you solved the task and we will probably throw some technical questions at each other.

• We will take some time to evaluate your profile and get back to you with an answer.

• We might put a few short calls in between if any of us find it necessary.
