SBT was established in 2014 as a spin out from the Technical University of Denmark. Today, the company employs 14 people, has acquired two patents, has one product on the market and another product that is soon to be launched. Bacteria measurements are relevant in many different applications, but our current main market is found within the biotech industry, where we sell our first product, BactoBox. Our company has a very a strong technical focus and primarily consists of engineers and developers, but we are now looking to further expand our commercial activities and scale up.


The position

We are looking for a commercially-driven and passionate soul who also possess a good understanding of microbiology. We are often praised by our customers for our ability to understand their applications, and this is a praise we would like to continue to receive.

The position involves early engagement with leads created by marketing, clarifying if the lead has an application that fit well with BactoBox, and handling all sales related communication and interaction with the customers including post sales follow-up. Technical customer support is handled by our Application Specialists.


The position entails:

  • Ensuring that the company reaches its sales goals for BactoBox

  • Engaging new customers

  • Generating additional sales with existing customers

  • Working with marketing and CEO on how to best scale existing and future products

  • Provide input from customers to our development team so that we get further clarification on which direction our development should take to fulfil the needs of our customers


About you

Our ideal candidate has a technical background within microbiology and has worked a couple of years with development before pursuing a commercial role. We expect that you have previous sales experience, at least 2-4 years selling products to the biotech industry. 90% of our customers are international, so you must be fluent in English.
