— art direction, brand management and visual design
Hi, we’re MODU. We are an entrepreneurial company in rapid growth and we design modular building toys for developing kids’ imagination and motor skills. We believe that open-ended play can help create a better world and empower kids to grow up facing life with true wonder. From our cosy office in the heart of Copenhagen, we have a lot of fun sharing our vision and products with the world.
Our creative team is looking for a talented art director to join us. Ideally, you’ve worked with lifestyle and interior brands before, and you have a keen eye for graphic design, photographing and what makes our customers ‘click'. We also hope you’re playful at heart and would love to be creative with our brand. Your primary work tasks will be centered around brand management, planning and directing, but in a scale-up business, we all wear many different hats.
Your tasks at MODU will include...
Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the creative team
Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning and target audience
Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions
Stay on top of all trends and maintain best practices
Conduct photo shoots for producing photo and video content
Create and edit content for our marketing media channels
Support in planning and executing campaigns, incl. newsletters and landing pages
Ad-hoc marketing and visual communication related tasks.
Your strengths...
You have proven experience working as an Art Director in a similar company or within the interior/fashion industry
You thrive in design/editor tools such as the Adobe pack or similar
You have hands on experience with photo-shoot staging, logo design, color, web layout design, print production, image selection and package design
You have demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
You incorporate feedback and take/give direction well
You are a proactive team player with strong communication and presentation skills
You take ownership of your areas of responsibility and bring in creative ideas on how to reach our KPI’s
You share our passion for playful design and development
You’ll be joining a small team with big ambitions and playful ideals. Our work hierarchy is flat, and your job will be full of responsibility — you’ll contribute with what you love ♥ We eat lunch together most days and have occasional beers on Fridays and croissants on Mondays.
If this sounds like you, please apply by sending us your CV, portfolio and a brief application where you answer the questions below:
