Ampa Medical is a health-tech start-up, dedicated to radically improve the quality of life for people living with an ostomy. We were established 1½ year ago, and in September this year, we entered the 12-month Venture Lab program at the BioInnovation Institute (BII), where we are further developing our product and advancing our business plan.
Currently we are three people in the team but as the company is growing, we are seeking an independent and motivated student assistant to support us on our journey. You will gain knowledge of most aspects of starting and expanding a health-tech start-up in a fast-pacing and diverse innovative environment. You will be responsible for handling diverse work-tasks including social media updates, running user-studies, making literature searches, handling documentation and various ad hoc tasks in close contact with the founders. Furthermore, you will be expected to participate in educational crunches held by the BII as part of the Venture Lab program.
As part of Ampa Medical, you will be working in direct collaboration with the two founders in their daily tasks. You will have flexible working hours but are expected to be present at the BII office during work hours - 15 hours a week, starting as soon as possible. The position is time-limited and runs until the end of August 2022. Prolonging of the position is possible if further funding is granted.
In short, your key tasks will be to:
Handle networking and advisory board contacts and make social media updates
Run user-studies in collaboration with the founders
Make systematic literature searches
Support the founders in filling out various documents and forms, e.g. regulatory documentation
Keep track of calendar appointments and deadlines
Various ad hoc tasks (slides preparation, homepage editing)
What you bring
We expect you to have an interest and preferable knowledge within health science and/or entrepreneurship and we would like you to have competences within various communication platforms. We imagine that you are a senior student.
Moreover, we expect you to be:
Reliable, and well-organized
Able to work efficient and independently
Skilled in communication and social media platforms (especially LinkedIn)
Skilled in spoken and written Danish and English
Curious in learning new skills
Extroverted and happy to talk to all kinds of people – also in English
Make a positive contribution to the BII community
Be an adaptable team player that can deal with change.
The team: You will be joining a team with the two founders of the company and a relatively new employee. You will also interact with the BII staff as well as socializing with other entrepreneurs working at BII.
