Kvalifik is a digital agency and software company based in Copenhagen consisting of approx. 20 curious, data-driven creators with competencies in software development and design.
We help our customers build and launch top-notch innovative digital products and services all the way from wireframes to design, development with automated tests and user testing – and we need yet another smart brain on board to help our customers fly into the future!
Our current stack consists of React (Next.js) using Tailwind CSS, Node.js (NestJS), React Native (Expo), and Shopify. We use Typescript whenever possible. As tech lead, you will define and develop the stack going forward. Our work is project-based with timelines typically between a couple of weeks to half a year. We work by agile development principles (scrum) and we have strong values that we believe in, which you can read more about in our manifesto.
We love to work with visionary companies to turn (sometimes crazy) ideas into reality and make digital innovation happen for NGOs, startups, and big corporations. A few selected client brands include Mærsk, Mikkeller, AkademikerPension, DSB, TV2 and Børns Vilkår.
Business is booming and therefore we are looking for a tech lead to further strengthen the quality of our software products and lead our team of developers.
About the job
Leading our team of 6 software developers (3 full-time, 3 part-time), mostly full-stack.
Continuously improving our tech stack and processes to develop software of high quality, including our CI/CD and DevOps
Technical scoping of software development projects
Ensuring that we deliver high-quality code
Ensuring the right staffing (together with our project managers)
Hiring new developers for the team
Leading customer projects from start to finish, including managing customer, demands to ensure maximum satisfaction.
It is a senior position and you will work closely with the CEO. If you are the right match, you will be offered an option program and thus the opportunity to become a co-owner of Kvalifik.
Skills and who you are
You fit the profile for this position if you:
Are an experienced full stack developer (at least 2-3 years full-time experience) preferably with an MSc in a relevant field.
Can use git and apply git workflows.
Are capable of designing ER diagrams and working with schemas in a DBMS (for instance PostgreSQL).
Have experience with unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
Have used Docker (or similar) for containerization.
Have experience with CI/CD (for instance GitHub Actions) and DevOps.
Have used cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS and Azure (experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform is a plus).
Can produce high-quality code as well as aid other developers with code reviews.
Have experience working in a professional team environment leading and directing other developers.
Can work on-site in our Copenhagen office (no remote work or relocation).
Strive to understand the perspective of the client and the client’s end-users and can transfer requirements to functionality.
Are curious about where the web is heading and up to date with new technologies and frameworks.
Feel good in a young and informal startup culture and want to shape the culture.
Are self-directed, take responsibility, ask for guidance when needed, and are happy to assist others when needed.
Professional English is a must, Danish a big plus.
