About Gaia

Gaia is on a mission to make it easy for everyone to save, spend, and invest for a sustainable future. In order to tackle sustainability issues such as climate change, inequality, and global health, money will be playing a critical role. This is why we are on a mission to turn the financial system upside down by investing in companies that takes responsibility for a sustainable future. We're a small team of 7 people with backgrounds ranging from financial services, technology, and NGOs.

With our members at the heart of every decision, we're building products that help people achieve financial freedom while making a positive impact on the world. Investing is hard enough on its own. Investing for a better world is 10x harder. That's why our first product is an investing app that helps people invest in causes that matter to them.

Today, we're live in closed beta and are getting ready to scale. Therefore, we need more people to help us achieve our mission.

Gaia is headquartered at the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark, close to Kgs. Nytorv. However, we are remote-first, so you have the option to work from home. Please note that you have to be located in Copenhagen for this specific role as you are required to facilitate and participate in physical events.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sustainable Partnerships Manager. Your main objective is to develop and execute our partnerships strategy to drive membership growth. The more we are, the bigger the impact we'll make. Since we're a small team in an early-stage company, you're expected to wear a couple more hats, which ultimately also means autonomy and responsibility. You will also be a part of maintaining our internal sustainability strategy in order to help Gaia lead by example as a company. That includes everything from ensuring best practices in how we sort our waste (everyone helps with this of course!) to help assessing the sustainability of our investments. Your work will be highly impactful as you will contribute directly to growing our community of conscious investors while helping Gaia push for even higher standards with respect to our impact on the world. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing and expanding the partnerships portfolio consisting of lifestyle apps, influencers, NGO's, and other organizations

• Identifying new partnerships opportunities by looking for synergies and mutual benefit

• Working closely with marketing and communication to create relevant content about sustainability and investing

• Facilitating and participating in relevant events that will help spread the word about Gaia and increase brand awareness

• Developing and executing against our internal sustainability strategy, ranging from championing the best way to sort waste to helping define our sustainability criteria when assessing new investment opportunities

• Gain a B Corp Certification and help maintain social and environmental performance

Minimum requirements

• Be located in Copenhagen.

• Fluent in Danish and English (bonus points if you also know Norwegian or Swedish).

• 2 years of experience working in a similar role or generalist consulting.

• Ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and show motivation for personal growth.

• Thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

• Passionate about sustainability and seek to challenge the status quo.
