As a UX Writer you will facilitate building the biggest global discovery network in the music industry and connecting creators/artists with fans through a world class user experience and a distinctive brand. We are looking for a UX Writer who is a champion at design thinking, comfortable working in Figma, a Notion advocate, thinks big but can manage all types of product writing challenges, is detail-oriented, organised, curious, and collaborative.
We are looking for someone who is highly skilled, self-driven, and used to working as part of a product team. You will work closely across all product teams from discovery sprints to product launches. UX Writers at Linkfire are given a lot of autonomy and trust, to shape and create solutions in close collaboration with the product designers and product teams. In this role you'll report to the Lead Product Designer.
We strive to be clear and understandable. Sure, there are spaces to inject a bit of our brand voice – but not at the expense of clarity. Most of our product strives for ultimate simplicity, but simplicity is complicated. Often we have to translate a complex flow into an easy interface – and in that interface, copy plays an integral role in its success. This is why our UX Writer position is in the design team, working hands-on with designers to figure out the solution.
What you'll be doing
The first full-time writer in our product team – with lots of room for career growth as the discipline grows within our company
Create clear, consistent, and impactful copy across all of our product interfaces
Work closely with our brand content writers to reflect Linkfire's brand in our product where appropriate
Improve the writing capabilities of our Product Design team with processes, practices and education
Take part in design reviews and give feedback and coaching when needed
Make data-informed decisions through research and user testing
Collaborate with product managers, strategists, engineers, and researchers
Educate the broader organisation, from sales to support, around proper product terminology
Work with other writers from our Marketing and Comms teams to define and implement tone and voice standards
Freedom to define your own approach for bringing great copy into our product and culture. There is a great opportunity here to define how you want to work and how you want to ensure only the best of the best copy gets read by our customers; copy that is part of the solution and not just some icing on top.
Who you are
A native English speaker, or someone with near-native fluency
You're an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively tell the narrative behind your product copy decisions and to engage your stakeholders.
You're user-focused and data-informed. Your product instincts and writing skills are excellent, but you still always strive to validate your work with user feedback and testing.
You have a passion for complex problem-solving and can turn insights into copy solutions. You have the ability to take complex concepts and make them easy to understand using simple, human words. You have the ability to find potential problems that our customers might have with our copy/designs.
You take initiative and you take responsibility, meaning you are a self-starter that makes things happen, and you are result and solutions-oriented.
You collaborate well with others within your own team and across teams and you support others to reach team goals.
Being a part of the Linkfire team comes with
